    Rumoured & Confirmed Signings - Part 5

The simple argument might be that after losing Api, Kikau, Burton, Crichton, Luai that the club wasn't willing to risk losing Tago. Throw in some likely some competitive interest and Tago gets a comparatively better deal incorporating potential to become a strike second rower. The $3m likely...

Dyl is the issue. How dare he bring bald to our team!

I see what you did there...very good.

    Former Panthers in the NRL

If NRL are serious in stamping out this shit, first offence is 12 weeks, second offence is 12 months and any idiot that goes a third time is banned for life.

    Former Panthers in the NRL

Glad tonight that Spencer is at another club. Still reported on channel 7 as "ex-Panther Spencer Leniu" (can't expect the media to moss that opportunity 😂). If the allegations are true, he's an absolute peanut.

    Former Panthers in the NRL

Critta has established himself as a big game player. The plays he made in last year's GF (& in prior GFs) were as critical to Penrith's 3peat as any other players. I agree $850k is too much for a centre, but in Critta's case he is also club captain (and soon face of the club) and I expect...

$500k for Taylan? GTFO, he hasn't done anything yet.

    New stadium - 2025

I think I read a quote from Fletch somewhere but I can't remember where. We seem to be committed to Commbank stadium for the majority. Found it: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/what-300m-in-renovations-means-for-the-panthers-20240124-p5ezol.html The Panthers will finish the current season in...

We have WCC vs Wigan this year. So will pop our Vegas cherry in '25.

Yep, 9 home games at Parra, a couple regionally and 1 in Vegas.

    2024 Panthers

I'll admit I'm old school for team selections - you earn your starting spot. Lindsay Smith and others are nowhere near earning the right to start ahead of JFH & Moses. And I sure as shit wouldn't be want to tell either of them they've been demoted for reasons not related to performance. As for...

    New stadium - 2025

I sit in the Eastern stand. My main pain point is the setting sun in the afternoon impedes the ability to watch the game. This could be addressed by increasing the height of the new Western Stand (including increasing capacity). I hope some viewing practicality has gone into the design.

    New stadium - 2025

Yes, in the lead up to the 2027 state election we'll no doubt hear about the new Penrith Stadium delivered during this term.

    New stadium - 2025

I'm basing the seat numbers on the difference between the announced new capacity of 25k and the current 21k-22k. How many new corporates can you fit in that footprint while still accommodating media, coaching boxes, etc. 1,000 tops?

    New stadium - 2025

I thought our last 3 years' results has guaranteed the future of the team for the next 30-40 years - not sure a minimally enhanced stadium will come into any NRL decision making. The current kids coming through seeing Panthers as winners will ensure solid backing. I agree with @Fangs - I'd...

    New stadium - 2025

Can't express how disappointing this upgrade is. New ground capacity of 25k, a stack of weasel words on community input, blah, blah, blah. No surprise the NSW govt are burying this under Albo's tax changes media.

    Rumoured & Confirmed Signings - Part 5

Not to knock an ex-player, but Spencer's strength certainly was not locking up the middle for the grind. He seems to get caught behind the PTB more than the others leaving the defensive line susceptible the following couple of rucks.

    5/8 options

I'm on the Laurie bandwagon. The couple of games he played at 6 for the Tigers late last season makes me think he could develop into a Cody Walker style 6...hopefully without the temperament issues.
