    Don't know about that. My recollection is that the wheels fell off right after Bennett announced that he was leaving.

    Do not fear. It will be a promoter's dream. The year is 2031, the month is October and the Panthers are going for 11 in a row. The mighty dragons however have won the minor premiership and are out to defend their record. It will me massive!

    Agreed. As much as the NRL, Fox & 9 try to talk up the NRLW (for commercial reasons), it still has a fair way to go.

    The club is simply relying on its legal position, and so it should. In reality, I don't expect Hunt will be there much longer.

    Exactly. So not only is this an absolute tragedy for the dragons (largely self inflicted), but the panthers, storm, rabbits and any other team with a chance should be seriously concerned. The NRL needs to look very closely at this.

    I remember 2011 very well and it was pretty clear to me that the fade coincided with Bennett's announcement (or rumours) that he was leaving. It was quite a shocking reversal of form as during the first half of the season I thought they were even better than they were in 2010.

    I could sort of understand it during covid times but do we really need the fake crowd audio when there are 50,000 real people at the ground? It's meant to create atmosphere but in fact it does quite the opposite for me. I'm getting a headache but maybe that's from sitting up to watch the Ashes...
