    NRL Expansion. Ideas and opinions.

Lol. If you don't think 'Has' or "had' is past tense then you need to go back to school. Yes I quoted the wrong letter but your condescending theme reflects an ignorance that is yours not mine! The AFL will sneakily throw off that they have the intention to rid a club however that's a well...

    2019 Crowd Watch

Hope the Roosters v Melbourne final gets 40000. The game will.be close. It's finals footy and the only show in town on Saturday evening. Some class players on show. It's a long break after the internationals. And even then we get to see the Aussies in only a World nines and a test against NZ...

    NRL Expansion. Ideas and opinions.

Not reading properly are you? That organisation " have worked out." That's past tense. It's referring to a scenario that such moves had been made and they are now aware of its negatives. The AFL will continue to have the 9 clubs in Melbourne and outskirts. They have realized the value of well...

News Do you care if Israel Folau returns to the NRL?

"Union " please. That sport should not have the divine right to own the term "rugby". It's already pretty dissappointing how so many people seem to think it should be referred to as 'rugby' when we know there exist two rugby codes. And rugby-league is the dominant rugby code in AUSTRALIA despite...

News Do you care if Israel Folau returns to the NRL?

I don't mind Falau playing international rugby-league. God knows it needs some exposure! Otherwise not many will.know about the upcoming internationals. The lack of promotion is mind-boggling compared to some other codes.

    2019 Crowd Watch

A ground record crowd for any sport was achieved at final between Souths & Easts at the SFS last year. Over 44000. It was an awesome atmosphere. THE EAST CHANT was very impressive.

    2019 Crowd Watch

Oddly enough!? You don't have to lose a Sydney club for expansion! Just add a club or two. Not hard .

    2019 Crowd Watch

Excellent. Hope they crack 10000 soon. A shining light for rugby league!

    NRL Expansion. Ideas and opinions.

Think the four additional clubs is a consensus option. These clubs from my standpoint should be aimed toward consolidation and expansion. Suggesting the Central Coast Bears is both a consolidation and expansion club. The Brisbane 2 club a much needed consolidation club. West Coast Pirates an...

    NRL Expansion. Ideas and opinions.

Yes. It's probably not concentrating and prioritizing such an issue that maintains rugby league's precarious existence. As we often see : when some progress is made a 'calamity or something out of left field' takes the code back again. It's happened too often to not be by chance.

    NRL Expansion. Ideas and opinions.

? The AFL seem to be improving/expanding quite nicely without predicating established club fanbases . And that's a crap sport compared to the rugby league!

    NRL Expansion. Ideas and opinions.

Yes. However the unfairness of the established way is not right. This code does battle and does not have the luxury of elite private schools advocating to play it. In NZ it's basically most schools that don't have rugby league. Just as well the code is that good people want to play it on the...

    NRL Expansion. Ideas and opinions.

And that organisation has worked out that additional clubs and not imploding established clubs is the prudent way to grow. It's non sensicle the tear down foundations logic for expansion. Yet some still push that agenda? I haven't got NZ figures. However interestingly , most NZ schools do.not...

    NRL Expansion. Ideas and opinions.

More clubs equates to more interest/ relevance and juniors! It's only people that are aiming to minimise/cease the genuine growth of this 'vulnerable ' and somewhat concealed code (internationally speaking) that advocate the 'not enough talent' line!
  15. S

    NRL Expansion. Ideas and opinions.

What a load of crap. That "not enough talent " line is the biggest piece of bullshit of the lot. The players are there and if additional clubs are announced and planned? Guess what! More juniors play-the- game to aspire for the big league. But no ! Some can't see this.

Consolidation, reclamation and expansion with additional clubs in the NRL

Let's hope this very valid idea is still possible! After all some very prominent businessmen like John Singleton see it as a very doable franchise. Only a procrastinating and slow achieving organisation (NRL) has negated this very doable addition/consolidation of the top flight competition.

Consolidation, reclamation and expansion with additional clubs in the NRL

Agree with Central Qld being stupid.(that's just a decoy being used by the Broncos ) However the Central Coast is very much a win/win for this competition. It consolidates and strengthens the competition north of the Harbour bridge which happens to have in excess of 1.3million people .

Consolidation, reclamation and expansion with additional clubs in the NRL

Nope. Absolutely certain the north Sydney business district would get on board a Central Coast Bears. Plus the businesses in Gosford. Newcastle has the Hunter Valley as well as Newcastle.

    2019 Newcastle revamp?

On ABC radio today coach of Cessnock Goannas Briggs mentioned that " the Cessnock fans would have turned up more in numbers if the grand final was staged on Saturday...." Something the administrators of this competition should take note of. In addition to this: last week the LHRL grandfinals...

Consolidation, reclamation and expansion with additional clubs in the NRL

But the Central Coast Bears is a valid option! Redeeming a lost supporter base and consolidation of an area that would support an NRL team.
