    Zac Lomax

Watching Zac play today he is on the wing for defence, however in attack he looks like a second fullback. Look at the number of times he came infield and ran with the ball. Look at the bombs near the goal posts. I don't think Zac is concerned as he is really playing a second fullback position.

    Flanno's New Signings

Well Nearly. He is still on the last photo of the Dragons training (Monday 8th Jan) with Sua running past him.

    Flannos 2024 KPIs

With the team for 2024 getting finalised, its time to set the KPIs to assess Flanno on at the end of the season. 1. Fitness - our fitness levels were way below other teams in the comp at the start of the year and whilst the effort increased once Hook was fired, its hard to get the fitness level...

    Welsby

I wonder how much some of this looking for a fullback is really to put the pressure on Sloane. WE have no chance on Manu and to be honest his performance week-in-week-out is not in the suoer star money that it would require. Somwhat similar with Welsby, I think we considered him as a 5/8 but...

    Round 26 v Warriors

Surely we could Sione Finau a go, we've signed him for the next two years and we can't make the eight. So why nit try him on the wing. Can't be any worse than Matthew Feagai.

    Hunt Stopped Running

Has anyone else noticed that Hunt for quite a few weeks has stopped running at the defensive line? What I see is he runs parallel to the defensive line and then turns the ball back to a forward running back to where the opposition forwards are moving towards. Watching last night he kept doing...

    Eels game

Can someone help me with the stripping rule? I've only been watching and playing rugby League for about 45 years. If a defender puts their hand on the ball and the motion of the tackle drags the ball out from the attackers grip, then that's a strip!

    Round 22 vs Sea Eagles

If that's the standard for Hip Drop tackles, we will end up with 10 on 10 games. When will a ref be held accountable.

    The Rumours Thread

What I'm expecting from Flanno from next year is that all players will be on notice that they need to perform or they are out. The performance of everyone specially current players will dramatically improve. Any new players will also be expected to perform. A case in point is Mat F. - I am...

    Round 18 v Gummy's

If Walsh got 3 weeks for swearing at the ref, how many weeks/months will Hunt get for nearly taking the Ref out?

    Coach Flanno

Listened to Flann on 2gb and interestingly he said that he has already acquired staff for next year. When asked to name them he said he couldn't because they are currently working for other clubs. Seems to be actively working on next year already which is a great sign. Also, when asked...

Will Kyle Flanagan be a good #6 or #9 for the Dragons?

This may not be popular, but I think he will be very handy as a 14. He can cover many positions, and I thin he can play Hooker and lock. At a pinch, he can play in the halves, he can also play at centre or fullback. Hi Defence is quite good and I've seen him setup breaks. ALso, he has some...

Hunt has asked for a release

So where is the NRL? Player under contract with 2 years to go? Have the Titans approached him? Shows what a joke the NRL is.

    Next game vs the Wabbits

Well we are still last but after next week we should be off the bottom of the ladder. Tigers play the storm; and Bulldogs play parra - if things go as expected, we will move up to 15th.

    Coaching preference for 2024

Absolutely, if the board appoints a rookie and it does not work, all hell will break loose and they will be solely responsible! If the go with an experienced coach, at least they can say we got the best available person to coach the Dragons. They put themselves in a difficult position with the...

    Coaching preference for 2024

My first choice has always been Flanno, putting aside past transgressions, he has the runs on the board setting up the club from juniors through the NRL level success. No one else including Hasler has demonstrated the broad skills that are required to right the Dragons ship. From what I can...

    Coaching preference for 2024

My God watching the dragons doing their business is like watching Days of Our Lives. After the drama of shortlisting a new coach, we fall back into not wanting to allocate the right authority to align with the responsibility of the head coach. So the board retains control of the football...

Ryles it is NOT - Rejects Dragons

I hear that a guy by the name of Anthony Griffin is looking for a new NRL coaching job. He appears to have coached at Brisbane and Penrith and has a positive win/loss ratio.

    interim coach - Carr?

Amone, if external events don't change his future, will be a future lock. He needs to beef up a bit but I can see him in the Cameron Murray model of player. I know its a way off but with the step he could be very useful through the middle.

    interim coach - Carr?

Selections have been a step in the right direction, but what I'm keen to see on Friday is game plan. Specifically, our kicking game, when we kick, who we kick to - Roosters have big winger so sliding kicks along the ground are harder for these guys to pickup when we are close to the line...
