    Other games 2024

No way do they do that for this season, it actually works in their favour. They get to put his knee, hip and back in cottonwool and bring him back a couple of weeks before the finals start.

Round 8 vs. North Queensland Cowboys @Townsville

The risk of doing this versus any actual benefit from it would be too great. The clubs would also not stand by and let them do it. Plus it would destroy the credibility of the league if instructions they gave to do this got leaked to the media. There is no way a professionally run sporting...

Round 8 vs. North Queensland Cowboys @Townsville

Why would a professionally run sporting organisation instruct refs and the bunker to maggage one team and turn a blind eye to another? What benefit would there be to do this? The refs and bunker make bad calls and human errors, and a ref may get influenced by a home crowd here and there, but...

What major problems do you mean?

Round 7 vs Wests Tigers @Bathurst

If a player like Stefano decides to come to the Panthers for far less money for a chance to win a premiership, then great. But even if the clauses in his contract may have genuinely been inserted to give him an out if the don’t make the finals, the cynical side in me says it will come down to...

Round 7 vs Wests Tigers @Bathurst

But we don’t even get in bidding wars to keep to our own stars though, can you see us trying to outbid Dragons and Dogs?

Round 7 vs Wests Tigers @Bathurst

I can’t see us getting in a bidding wall though, no matter how highly they may rate him. The last week probably shows how they will handle Fish’s exit, with extending props Riki and Patea, and even Scott that can play lock. Which probably means they will then buy a cheaper middle that they feel...

Round 7 vs Wests Tigers @Bathurst

I still don’t think the Panthers released his name as our target to replace Fish to the media though. Also don’t think we can afford him. Struggling teams like Bulldogs and Dragons will offer him $900K or more when he is available.

Round 7 vs Wests Tigers @Bathurst

Agree with you there. The Panthers don’t usually come out in the media about who they are targetting, so probably a journalist assuming or making up a story.

    Rumoured & Confirmed Signings - Part 5

Hell no, Paulo would wreck our defensive system. Our front rowers need to be super fit like Fish and Moses so they can make a tackle and then get back in the line quickly. They don’t leave gaps in the middle like some front rowers on other teams do when they start getting tired.

    Penrith Panthers lower grades 2024

I assume his contract extension means Lukes time as a Panther will end this season? Considering we now have Kenny, Sommerton and Scott.

    Rd.5 v SeaEagles

I have already said he played like shit, so yes I did watch the game. Your opinion is he must have still been injured and picked anyway because he played shit And Ivan cost us the game. But thats your opinion, not facts. My opinion is that the medical staff and Ivan would not risk a player as...

    Rd.5 v SeaEagles

Can you show any facts though that proves JFH was still injured and selected to play anyway?

    Rd.5 v SeaEagles

It doesn‘t mean he played injured though, he just didn’t handle the Sea Eagles plan for him. Ivan hasn’t rushed back Sorensen or Nathan, so why would he risk it with JFH this early in the season, and especially after we had been winning without him anyway? As for Martin, if he hadn’t of been...

    Rd.5 v SeaEagles

Do you really think Ivan would of played JFH if he was still injured, after having sat him out for 2 weeks prior. And that we won those two weeks without him. JFH played shit, not injured. Manly had a plan to belt him every time he ran the ball and it worked, and threw him of his game.

    Rd.5 v SeaEagles

I thought Laurie did well defending in the middle, from memory I don’t think he even missed a tackle. It was Martin that got trampled a couple of times. Laurie showed yesterday that if he gets games at five eight replacing Luai, he won’t be a defensive liability.

    General Discussion Thread

It was Ivan that was wiling to pay a lot of money for self entitled juniors to leave and play elsewhere though. So he could build the sort of high performance culture that wins three back to back premierships. It’s safe to say he won’t create another Bryce.

    Rd.4 v SydRoosters

I think that is close to what it will be, except with Eisenhuth on the bench instead of Riki.

    Rd.3 v Broncos

Like building a high performing culture that wins 3 premierships in a row? I for one hope Ivan keeps doing Ivan things. When someone else in NSW Cup is showing they deserve a place as next man up more than Eiso, Ivan will pick them over him. Just like he did with Smith and Henry. But until...
