    Juniors in the GF

Wighton played Matt's for us. Simonson as well but he left to NZ. Papa was in our system at that age when South's Logan was a feeder, generally those players move down for SG Ball. We definitely put less focus on developing first graders now but that's the only option these days.

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

I'll leave you to it then.

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

My only point was the record was distorted heavily by the ban, which it clearly was. Context could've been included when the records got posted but unsurprisingly wasn't.

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

Yep, banning most of the incumbent rep players made no difference at all to any players rep careers and records.

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

So why would Mullins lose his Australian spot to Brasher in 95? You can't have it both ways.

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

Mullins missed the first 15 rounds of 98 so Brasher didn't exactly beat him for the spot that year and he also missed the first 6 weeks of 97 and was playing centre for Canberra by that stage his form was so bad. Mullins was the incumbent fullback after taking Brasher's spot in 1994 and the...

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

This is misleading as its distorted by the super league ban. Most of Brashers tests were in 1995 when Mullins only lost his spot because he was banned. Probably be closer to even if it wasn't for that.

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

Nah, I think it started in the 80's but didn't get much use. He did have Wiki & Croker in the side, plus other Parra bloke like Drew & the plodder Hindmarsh. They were a good side and in with a chance until this:

Let's just stick to our clear and unbiased memories then.

Dud team? The Raiders came 4th that year with a 16-8 record. So by your logic he must've single handedly carried them to that result, which would be even more impressive.

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

As good as Wesser was in 2003 it's debatable that he was even the best fullback that season. Schifcofske was leading the Dally M when voting went behind doors and would've run second to Gower if it wasn't cancelled, and Schif was better over the 2001 - 2006 period as a whole. He would've been...

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

Wesser was a bit of a one year wonder as much as Mullins was. He played in mostly dud sides outside of 2003 and never had as much impact, and even in 2003 he wasn't the best fullback in the game. You could rank him ahead in the NRL era but that's about it.

Ten best full backs of the NRL era

Mullins wasn't a very good fullback in the NRL era, he was constantly injured and never got near rep footy again. Schif was a way better player over that period, he is pretty underrated if you look at what he achieved in some ordinary sides.

    Confirmed Signings

Because Maloney blabbed that the club was transferring it. If he just kept his mouth shut it would've been fine, just like pretty much every other TPA that the clubs are secretly arranging at the moment.

You're thinking of the go dickhead policy.

    Rumoured Signings

If you say so. How they restrict it and whether the players agree to it is what matters.

    Rumoured Signings

All it takes is one company to independently make an offer that requires a player to play for a specific club and the NRL to say No and it's restricting that players earnings. The NRL can't restrict what third parties do and players wont agree to give up the gravy train out of certain clubs...

    Rumoured Signings

Why do the NRL say it was to produce a close competition then?

    Would you sign Aaron Woods?

First and only until the next one.
