    Rugby League Live 4 confirmation

How many of those "indie games" were simulators of a footy code? None. There's a difference between making a narrow scope artsy passion project and a sim of a sport people will dissect, criticize and over-analyze to death for not being close enough to the real thing. These people aren't making...

Yeah, I was being unfair really. "Beatnik" or hippie would probably be a better fit

    Rugby League Live 4 confirmation

The fact you don't get what any of that has to do with computer games confirms you don't have two functioning brain cells. But yeah sure thing kiddo, the devs can all pay their salaries on the hopes and wishes of a bunch of geniused commie footy fans that don't get shit costs money - that's a...

    Rugby League Live 4 confirmation

Yeah mate, I'm for real. Sure, you can piss away your money, but by the same token you can't make the Avengers on the budget of an episode of home and away either. Heck, just look at sport - there's a reason that the top 3 positions of the EPL have only been held by 5 teams for the past 20...

    Rugby League Live 4 confirmation

Good is pretty subjective, but did you really just try to argue that "loads of money" doesn't make a good game?? No offense mate, but it really does. Have you ever seen the budget for a Madden, FIFA or the big 2K titles? They ain't making those things that well because they're all fueled by...

British & Irish Lions tour of NZ 2017

Yeah, the signs don't look good. I watched that Crusaders game and even though the Lions were good, it was a success built on their size and ability to bully the Crusaders with their rush defence. With the ABs mammoth backline and much more dynamic attacking range, that's not going to save them...

British & Irish Lions tour of NZ 2017

Don't watch a tonne of Rugby, but I always enjoy these Lions tours. But man, it really feels like the poms are clutching at straws already on this one - they've won 1 from 3 games against the Super Rugby sides and they've been bashed in the scrums in all the games I've watched - even against the...

    Origin logos - NSW

Nice - it's a small change, but it definitely makes it pop more. You gonna shoot it to the NSWRL?

    Origin logos - NSW

Definitely works mate. That said, looking again back at the comparison above in your opening post, I would like to see it with a white inner border, as I think that makes the centre pop out a bit more. You might have to change the order of the white panels up top, but I reckon it'd look good.

    NRL 2017 TV RATINGS!

Good signs on WA! To be fair to the NRL, they have been consistently taking games there for a while now. With the exit of the Force, they NRL just need to act. Only issue is the pay dispute with the players... the game has a good funding deal, but it's not quite good enough for expansion to...

    Origin logos - NSW

Love it mate! Have always felt the new rep logos looked a little bit bland and overly simplistic. Great way to bring in a bit of the old school whilst still keeping the corporate uniformity. We don't have a problem quite as big with the Kangaroos logo, but do you reckon you could have a crack...

Australia vs England - June tests

The English haven't changed. When they're good, it's because they're good up front and have a sharp shooter. They've never had a complete game like the All Blacks or the Wallabies of the late 90s. But that said, some times I wish the Wallabies would just develop a super sharp shooter who can...

    2016 R15 - FRI - Souths 12-30 Eels @ ANZ

So spear tackles are now ok are they?

Australia vs England - June tests

I grew up on Union, but whilst there were some great tries last night, that game perfectly encapsulates why Union will never ever be a major sport in this country. Like soccer, too many games are decided purely on the whim of referees

    NRL team out of Darwin

Can't see it... More people live in Randwick than Darwin.

What if Jarryd Hayne doesn't make the 49ers cut? Will he return to the NRL?

Yeah, they'll both be fine, but it makes for a shit story really in terms of their legacy. Means they'll never approach Brad Thorn status and just go down as talented blokes who dipped their toes in another pond, but hopped out when it got a bit rough.

What if Jarryd Hayne doesn't make the 49ers cut? Will he return to the NRL?

I've wondered if it was just boredom too, but to be honest if it was his dream to play for the NFL, it doesn't say much for his depth as an individual if he can tire of a dream after a year in the NFL which was ultimately successful only in the way that Sam Burgess's stint for England in the RWC...

An NRL Club should sign Ayumu Goromaru

Would never happen. The idea is just too outside of the box and forward thinking for the NRL to consider.

Mascord refused to watch ANZAC test

I actually enjoyed the test - never want to miss a chance to see the Kangaroos run around and even though the game lacked fluidity etc, it was a good solid test match. As for the whole Semi thing, they'll probably change the rules around that now, but the reality is we need to focus on building...

NZ want annual series against Kangaroos

Would love to see that too, but that'd be a long tournament and have a fair bit of travel if you were to do it home and away. They'd need to cut a solid month off the NRL. Not exactly sure how you'd work out the scheduling too.
