Time to sell off the Parramatta Eels, urges business heavyweight Bill Moss

I don't know which option is preferable - privatization or the NRL stepping in and implementing their own fully independent board - but the one indisputable truth is that the warring factions must all be swept aside and eradicated before the club can move forward. Through sheer incompetence, an...

Breaking: Macquarie Bank wiz to join Eels Board

Calm down everyone, this is all just a mossunderstanding.

    Twenty/20 WORLD CUP 2014

What's Gilly going on about with this T20 Ball of the Century rubbish? Decent ball, sure, but nothing that special

    Manu Mau

Yeah. Loved Benny Smith in his prime but that was a long time ago. What we've sorely missed the past few years has been a back-rower or two who can bend the line. Suddenly we've got three or four guys coming through who hurl themselves at the line and there is actually some light at the end of...

    Twenty/20 WORLD CUP 2014

Don't stress guys. If I had to pick two batsmen from the past 100 years with my life on the line, it would be Brad Hodge and Aaron Finch.

FA Cup final v West Ham - made even better by the awesome commentary of Martin Tyler.

    2013/14 Premier League

Another Swansea goal although it should have been a free kick for the foul on Suarez at the other end. Anyway, yeah I'll take a 5-3 win. Too many times we'd draw 0-0 against someone like Sunderland and you'd look at the stats and they'd read Liverpool 65% possession and 22 shots on goal to 0...

    2013/14 Premier League

I dunno Jack. I think we can beat Chelsea for sure (not saying we WILL, but we CAN). Our problem is more that over the course of a season you're going to get found out with defenders as useless as ours. That said, I spent years and years watching a Liverpool side that rarely conceded goals but...

    2013/14 Premier League

No surprises there. I'm not even worried to be honest. We were never going to challenge for the title. As long as we finish top four, the more that shows up how woeful our defenders are the better. Obv getting rid of Toure and Skrtel is a no-brainer. Hopefully Agger to follow.

Y.N.W.A. Thread (Liverpool fans thread) II

What's most impressive is that we now have a side capable of scoring goals at will. The number of years I stayed up to watch Liverpool v Sunderland or whoever it was at the time only to see a 0-0 draw despite us having 35 shots on goal to 2 was incredibly frustrating. Good to see Sterling...

Malcolm Conn’s World XI from the past year.

Lol @ the Kohli hate. He will be one of the greats. Absolute gun player, plus he earnt my respect on the last Aussie tour when his side crumbled around him but he stood up to the challenge.

Steve O'Keefe - When will he get his shot at test cricket?

Definitely agree Lyon deserves his spot, but would be great to see O'Keefe as the backup option and also used as the second spinner where possible in the subcontinent etc. Not to mention his batting is more than handy.

Steve O'Keefe - When will he get his shot at test cricket?

I'm well aware of the reason. A certain player in the Australian team has been campaigning against him for some time. Essentially it comes down to a personality clash.

3rd Test: South Africa v Australia at Cape Town Mar 1-5, 2014

Actually I was going to mention that. His first tour of Oz as captain and he mouthed off before the series. Lol Anyway, 3/15. Could go either way.

3rd Test: South Africa v Australia at Cape Town Mar 1-5, 2014

Always enjoyed when Smith had his ass handed to him, but it's sad to see him go out like this.

3rd Test: South Africa v Australia at Cape Town Mar 1-5, 2014

Question - ball of the series? Was thinking before how good Harris' ball to bowl Amla in the first innings was, but Slave's delivery to Faf in the first innings of the first Test was pretty special too. Thoughts?

3rd Test: South Africa v Australia at Cape Town Mar 1-5, 2014

By the way, how much has Smith improved? Not only has he produced a number of match-turning innings over the summer when we were under pressure, he comes out today and belts them all over the shop when needed.

Clarke has obviously picked a certain time to declare and is sticking to it. Oh and there it is! Let's go boys!!

3rd Test: South Africa v Australia at Cape Town Mar 1-5, 2014

That last 6 he hit sounded sweet. Funny to think that a year ago I thought our batting line-up had no hope. Now with Warner and Smith we've got a great base there.
