Respectable crowd. Today will be larger?

In his blog Chris Irvine suggests Newcastle (UK) is considering bidding for the 2011 event.

At St. James' Park - which is the same size as Suncorp Stadium. From Irvine's blog sounds like it would be a bid by Newcastle United to host.

They reckon the Magic weekend is worth £10M to the Edinburgh economy. The RFL should be shouting this from the rooftops and get a bidding war started for the privilege of hosting the Magic weekend. St James' Park would be a good size to hold the event at. It holds about 52,000 I think. Newcastle is reknowned for it's nightlife and it's not as far for ESL fans to travel.
