According to the Daily Tele's (NSW) Sports Confidential, Les Catalan's David Ferriol is looking for a NRL start and has stalled talks with Catalans until his Manager has had a good look at his prospects for 2011..
As per usual there is no link, being a International RL story.. The clubs mentioned as being approached/interested are Newcastle, Parramatta and the Warriors.. What do you think and who else in France (and French) should 'ava go..?? |

IMO Bosc, Ferriol, Elima, Mounis, K Bentley and Duport could all do well for themselves. Some younger players coming over would be great for France in the longer term. Maybe NRL clubs should be scouting at England, Wales and France U-16 & 18 games, they are all usually competitive at that level so I imagine some of the young French players could be kept in our game instead of going to union this way. |

I'd love to see Ferriol playing down under. He's a genuinely old fashioned prop who plays it rough from first to last and, for all the good things in the NRL, I don't see many prop forwards like that around these days. I think a few opponents wouldn't pay him any attention at all and suddenly find themselves regretting it.

Yeh, Jim I don't know if he signed a contract, that's why it bugs me when media prints stuff and don't put it on their website..
Anyway, it was on their inside back page.. |

He would probably have to be cheap and find a club that has an open mind about European players.
