blues might as well start preparing for next year

selection fail...

Agree the blues will probably lose :(

But still a better side selected than last time. I would rather see Campese at 5/8 than Barrett though. At least that way you have 2 young halves who could possibly be there for a couple of years.

Ok, so judging by that squad and hoping for Hayne and Lewis to get off at the judiciary tonight, the side should look something like this:

1. Jarryd Hayne
2. Brett Morris
3. Matt Cooper
4. Jamal Idris
5. Timana Tahu
6. Trent Barrett
7. Kurt Gidley (c)
8. Michael Weyman
9. Michael Ennis
10. Jason King
11. Nathan Hindmarsh
12. Ben Creagh
13. Paul Gallen

14. Luke Lewis
15. Brett White
16. Trent Waterhouse
17. Thom Learoyd-Lahrs

With O'Donnell, Pearce, Scott and Dugan to miss out.

I was watching foxsports news this morning and Bellamy said Pearce is the halfback. I think barrett is there in the eventuality that Hayne is suspended and Dugan injured resulting in Gidley at fullback. Otherwise it will be Hayne/Dugan at full back with Gidley/Pearce in the halves.

There is also the possibility of Gidley on the bench although unlikely given the captaincy issue.

Referees are the same as game one - Hayne/Archer in the middle, Holland and Abood running the sides with Billy H and Mander in the video box.

now thats a good decent looking team...

Good to see:

mitch pearce take control
hayne at fullback
paul gallen and hindy will give us some defensive power

gidley somehow still made it to the bench (nsw selectors are geniused) but other than that its looking good.

Apart from having one proper forward (Weyman), a bloke who's really a 2nd rower (TLL), and a cream-puff (White) as our prop rotation, the side is far superior to game 1. We're still rank udnerdogs, but at least have some sort of a chance.

As a neutral, it's almost got to the stage where SOO needs a NSW win. This would be a huge shot in the arm for NSW...but will it happen?

Agree, odd decision to not have a bench prop but a much better side overall. Good to see them slowly making their way towards dumping Gidley...game 3 they should give the captaincy to someone else.

NSW to win.

30-0 to QLD by half-time, intensity after the half will decide whether they decimate NSW.
