i agree
i think he defended himself right out of SOO contention
he was dreadful defensively. QLD would have a field day with him

Don't let the media fool you, he was never in contention for that very reason.

He is a major speed bump, always has been.

Galloway had a big chance to push for SOO and he blew it... big time
on the back of last week too where he was complete dominated by the canberra front row too...

maybe next year for him

He and Weyman make a great pair - both last about 8 mins then they're rooted.

Bear in mind that he's recovering from a crippling ingrown toenail, wisdom teeth or something of that nature.

He is an absolute pillow - makes three hit-ups, throws a misdirected offload, gets wrong-footed in defence and takes 45 seconds to play the ball. I've never understood why people are so quick to lavish this bloke with praise and completely overlook the true star of the Tigers' pack, Bryce Gibbs.

Good win by the Dragons but I cant rate em till they start beating teams that are above them on the ladder.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!
If a computer were to comprehend the logical paradox in that statement Noa.........................
It' would either:
a) Explode
b) Implode
c) Hastily redirect to a porn site

On the game, close till the end, Tigers had a go, but they spent a lot of time from the 63rd minute to the 71st minute at Saints end..................... for no result, that was the spirit breaker, just as it was for Cronulla last week when 29 solid minutes in Saints 30 produced a big fat 0.

If we're not choosing the best attacked halves because their defence is suspect then we deserve to lose. Do you people not watch games? Do you not see how often Thurston and Lockyer are brushed aside? Cronk is about the only good half in the game not built like a lock that can defend.

Benji will never ever be a consistent player.

We will continue to get flashes of huge brilliance, mixed in with dumb plays. More often than not the good outweighs the bad, but IMO we still need a controlling halfback.

I can't understand all the soward bashing/ He played well, yes he missed a few tackles. For some reason he is seen as useless defender.

lets compare the two games, one who is a test footballer and captain of his country, the other a nrl player.

Benji - 6 tackles, 2 of those 1 on 1, and 5 missed tackles.
Sowie - 16 tackles, 3 of those 1 on 1, and 5 missed tackles.

Benji - 9 kicks for 220 m, 5 runs for 44m, 6 tackle breaks, 1 line break. 0 errors
Sowie - 17 kicks for 603 m, 6 runs for 82m, 8 tackle breaks, 2 line breaks. 0 errors

Bottom line he cops much criticism that is unwarranted. he is one of the best 5/8ths n this comp.

You forgot to add 7/7 goal kicks, many from the sideline. Tuqiri and Lawrence terrorised our right edge, Soward wasn't alone in missing those tackles, he never gives up chase though and for the mostpart comes up with the important tackles. Tuqiri and Lawrence would have done that to most players the way they were playing, Soward's defence for the mostpart has been pretty good this year and we only conceded 10 points so we couldn't have been too bad :sarcasm:
