That was a poor game, but a very good win.

A lot has been said about how depleted the Dragons were, but the Knights were just as depleted, if not more so. You only need to look at the massive difference in experience between Hornby/Fein and Stig/Roberts to see that. And the Knights losing their entire bench to injury certainly wouldn't have helped.

The Dragons will be back to their dominating best as soon as the Origin period is over. Newcastle have just gotta keep plugging away and hopefully keep their spot in the 8.

Well done to the Knights and their fans. I hope the Knights make the 8. They are a side in the making and have some good young talent. As long as they don't do us again while they're in there.
Silly season over after next week. A bye, troops on board and the run home. Let's hope the boys can aim up now. Minor Premiership is looking much less likely now, so need to get serious and focus on what matters.

Newcastle were too good for the maority of the match.

Their forwards made more metres and tackled harder than ours.

Well deserved victory for them.

Good win Knights, we had a thousand out, but you guys had a heap missing as well!
Best of luck for the rest of the year, going along nicely without the likes of Mullen, Gids, etc

I didn't think the game was that bad. Sure, it didn't have the makings of one of the best matches of all time, but I thought the defence from both sides was willing, there appeared little dropped ball and when the game was there for the taking, the Knights did just enough to come away with the two points. Oh and it's always good to beat the Premiers :p

Seriously though, all the best for the rest of the year Dragons fans, after Origin you'll be fine.

While we're on stats, Newcastle haven't beaten the Dragons at home since 2003, and the Dragons haven't beaten Newcastle at home since 2005. Overall since 1999, the Dragons have won 4 and lost 7 at home aginst Newcastle, and won 11 and lost 2 away.
