You need a draw from Knights v Rabbits to be assured of 8th place if you win don't you? Other than that I can't see a 50 point win, more like 20-30 realistically....

A win of around 50 would probably get them into 8th, so long as souths only win by a point or two.

There are two equations for Canterbury to be finals bound:

1. Souffs & Newcastle draw. Dogs win = Dogs 8th.

2. Souffs win. Dogs win by 40 plus whatever Souths win by = Dogs 8th.

The far less likely 3rd is Knights win. Dogs break every record in the book by beating Canberra by 73 plus whatever the Knights win by.

You miss Saturday night?

Then, and on two other occasions at the start of the season.

Also scored 28 in a losing side against the Roosters.

Plus, it is Canberra...

Dogs should go all out in attack from the get go. Raiders will give it their all to make sure Alan Tongue goes out a winner but so will the Dogs with Andrew Ryan. I predict alot of points coming from both sides. I think there will also be a fair few mistakes from both teams in this game. Barba vs Dugan will be good. I'm looking forward to seeing the battle of the half backs the most. Dogs for the win.

I'm going with the unlikely-er 3rd option here. Remember Dogs v Penrith '09, got gipped 2 points for fielding 14 players? That to happen in rabbits v knights. Then dogs just need to win. Dogs by 3 and into the 8.
