Soward will hold his own in defence against the Toads, like he does every week in the NRL. You don't pick a half for their defensive ability anyway. I agree with you on picking Mullen at 7, but who would you pair with him? Obviously in your mind Soward is a defensive liability, so that rules him out. So who would you pick instead? An attacking liability like Sutton or Anasta?

Smith is the originator of the flat pass from dummy half that flirts with being forward in order to get a roll on, a style every hooker has now copied. I notice other hookers getting pulled up regularly, but Smith never seems to.

Probably Anasta but he is no better...Soward and Mullen would be okay.

A flat pass is not forward...will watch today's game to see if anyone gets pulled up for it ??.
