Why do Mateo and Ben Te'o and up as Martel and Te'el/Teal then? Curious, I wish I knew more.

because the eo is pronounced mah-teh-awe and teh-awe (approximately). the ' in te'o means a letter has been dropped (think its K in samoan) so theres a slight pause. All very technical but yeah thats the explanation.

There seems to be an awful lot of trolling going on in this thread. There were dud calls both ways, which seems to be an ongoing theme in all games this year.
The reality is, the roosters were literally handed the game to the on a platter at crucial times. They got the rub of the green an awful lot but for some reason, all of that is being ignored. There are people in here whose ignorance is second only to bunniesman.

Pfft, Warriors got more dud calls in their favour, which is quite common when you're the home team.

The calls against us weren't 50-50 calls they were just blatantly wrong.

However, fact is at the end of the day, we still had a chance to win at the end of the game and we butchered that opportunity without the referee's interference.

Just like the decision to not penalise Mini for playing the ball incorrectly? That was the most blantantly incorrect call throughout the game. No room for interpretation, the ref was totally wrong in his call to award a scrum.

He isn't saying that at all. Mateo is pronounced "Marr-tear-or" (don't roll the letter r). If you say it quickly it sounds vaguely like "Martel". That's what he's saying.

Te'o would basically be "Tear-or" but with more of a distinct break between the two syllables. Again, can sound vaguely like teal.

What were your thoughts on Joseph Leilua's try for the Roosters against the Warriors? Did he and the Warriors defender both ground the ball simultaneously?

This is probably the toughest call we have had all year. After looking at it many times in slow motion and all the different angles, we believe the decision to award a try was wrong. We don’t believe Leilua had possession of the ball, he did get his hand on the ball, but the Warriors’ player grounds it with his arm. We believe that it was the wrong call. It should have been a line dropout.
