They needed to win tonight and/or last week to give themselves any chance of going deep into the finals.
Maybe next year.

That game is one of two things; it's either an indication of where we truely are as a football team or we are just starting to turn the corner. I'm not sure which. Bellamy must have been pink!

Melbourne could lose the rest of the year till the finals and they would still probably kill it in the finals. Like Manly Melbourne just know what is needed in the big games. Yes they narrowly beat Titans but they still won which is a good sign coming into the last few rounds. You need to win ugly

I'm not prepared to count out Melbourne or Manly yet.

Titans are such a mixed bag side. Plenty of quality in their pack, potentially good halves pairing etc. but they're hamstrung by the likes of Zillman (who didn't play but boy was he woeful against Souths), Michaels, O'Dwyer, Idris and even K. Gordon is a mere shadow of who he was. Mead is a handy player but he's not overly reliable just yet.

Melbourne, just too many class players where it counts. Was a fairly easy win for them in the end despite a sub-par performance.

Any team that loses two players in the first 20 minutes (Bailey after 8), not to mention their fullback hours before the game is going to struggle. If not for some dodgy calls, the Titans would of stayed in the grind and came away with the points.

Melbourne aren't contenders after tonight, just lucky cheats.

Only losers blame the referees.

Your side has too much crap in it this year & that's why you lost.

Melbourne and Cam Smith in particular were devastating once they started playing more direct and straight up the middle.

Hopefully the spray they got from Bellamy and the almost immediate success they had with the style of play in the second half, kicks them into gear for the rest of the year.

A scrappy game but a win is a win...Cam Smith won that game for Storm. Very composed and kis kicking game was excellent.

Bromwich had another strong game and is hitting some form as well along with Norrie who is running hard now and it makes a lot of difference.

Are Storm back ??...still not sure.

Not yet and still plenty of work to do but getting there. Three weeks before the finals is plenty of time to improve and fine tune a few things ready for a tilt at the big one. After the way we went out last year i'd actually prefer the position we're in this year at the business end of the season.
