Just as a matter of interest, anyone know the rule for when you have a drinks break 20 mins in - like they do in Darwin matches. It was 36 degrees an hour before kick-off, then a short rain storm rolled through and left shocking humidity. Wouldn't hurt to let both teams have a two-min rehydrate at the 20 and 60 min marks.

Yeah, Billy's well known for his clean game and courage.
Just ask Skando, And Nightingale when he was being held and belted.

Billy's a brilliant player. Don't pretend he's a decent one.

Come in spinner!

As mentioned we clocked off a bit in the second half but all things considered with the heat and travel I'm pretty satisfied with the win. Especially with 4 or so new faces in the first grade line up. We'll only improve from that and while it's a very long season it was pretty clear there's plenty of hunger there to try and go back to back.

It never fails to get a rise outta the Red V. Far too easy.

Not sure how much we can take out of that. Storm far too professional as expected. Wonder how long until Drinkwater gets a run in FG. Big game v Brisbane on Friday with our annual canberra capitulation in rd 3

God Nathan fien was beyond dogsh*t, put even an average 7 there and the dragons could have a decent team. The front 3 and back 3 are very good, rest let them down.

Storm were as we expect even if a bit scratchy, probably should have been up 18-0 after 20mins but uncharacteristic mistakes from slater and smith cost them. Still going to take a bloody good effort for anyone to bet this mob.

Summed up well.

Fien should have been tapped on the shoulder well before Hornby.
Everyone knew he wasn't going to be our answer at number 7, but Price persists with him.

Give Drinkwater a shot.
Thought Stanley went well for us.
Cooper went missing.
Ah Mau played well also.

My two cents....Storm have improvement in them no doubt. A few times they got caught with no structure on the last tackle and good sides will make them pay if this happens again.

Strong games from Cronk, Smith, Harris and Bromwich was the difference in the end. Harris was solid on the edge of the ruck and got the better of Hunt a number of times.

Was Cooper playing ??...or just a passenger and Fien is below standard as a playmaker. Nightingale was solid IMO and Soward had his moments but once again is prone is basic errors.

Didn't Chase leave Storm to go to Dragons?! Talk about adding insult to injury.

Yep, after leaving the Dragons for the Storm he had a season ending knee problem with Melbourne. ( his first stint with the Dragons was promising but had injuries along the way )

I hope Chase is ok, because the Dragons have already lost one Stanley for the season. Are some players just jinxed with injuries ?

He seems too injury prone to progress in his career...sad but it is getting to that stage.

Nice for Billy to show some concern for Nightingale after their collision. Quite the good Samaritan act for a bloke that headbutted him and cried like a little whipped pup when Billy smashed him....

Oh please f*ck off scumbag. You won that one also, water under the bridge now. FFS.
