    Almost upon us next week

    Starts 11AM AEDT Thursday week

I think this will be our best bowling attack for some time, if they are on song then poms will get belted.

This is the least excited I've been for an Ashes series.

I feel like I'm being led to a shared prison cell, currently occupied by a 6' 4" 300lb violent sodomite.

It would have been that ugly with Stokes; let alone without him.

Not going to write the poms off completely, our batting has proven to be pretty fragile, even at home.

But we should win at home.

Half of us are better keeping options than Bancroft. If we pick him to keep we're utterly mental.

I think they'll drop Renshaw. Feels like they've been looking for excuses even when he was batting well. I think they'll go with

    Warner
    Bancroft
    Khawaja
    Smith
    Handscomb
    Cartwright
    Nevill
    Starc
    Cummins
    Lyon
    Hazelwood

Have a feeling it's going to be a low scoring test match with the unstable batting orders.

that would be my first 11 too, that's our strongest team

So no chance the selectors will pick them, they'll probably throw in Maxwell and Renshaw.

Renshaw doesn't look like getting a run that way he is pushing at the ball and not moving his feet. HE is young and no doubt he will find form again.

Bancroft isn't just knocking on the door he smashed through it with his double ton. I'd pick Nevill as wicket keeper though.

    Warner
    Bancroft
    Khawaja
    Smith
    Handscomb
    Cartwight
    Nevill
    Starc
    Cummins
    Hazelwood
    Lyon

Seems to be reports that Renshaw has been given a chance after a net session against the Aussie quicks....
