2003 Grand Final Discussion

Congrats on making the Grand Final Penrith, well done.

With mainly all the cock fans saying stuff about trends in thier favour (back to backs in the past years ending with 2 & 3, and others)

well here's one in our favour:

1995 Manly V Cantebury... Manly were the favorites in that one & they lost
1997 Manly v Newcastle.... Manly were fave's again, but lost
1999 St George v Melbourne... Dragons were favorites, but lost
2001 Parramatta v Newcastle... Eels were fave's but lost

so in every 2nd grand final, the underdogs won it.

here's another, Penrith have won every Grand Final they've been in, unlike the cocks.

And more importantly, the only way they could win the GF is to use a former panther, Fittler.

i would find no shame in losing to the roosters on sunday

We have had a tremendous season that noone in any rugby league circle expected us to have.

The roosters are the benchmark in league at the moment. So if we should happen to lose, then i know that i wont be ashamed of our boys.

but if anything was offensive or too overboard then i can see why it couldn't be deleted, but if it was just banter then i don't know.

I recall Vilisanti trying to take Fittler out of the game was the turning point in last years Grand Final. Go ahead and try it and watch Morley go ballistic again. :lol:
