Somne good groups. I think the toughest groups are F and D. Group F in particular, any 4 of those sides could progress

The dutch league is in decline and PSV arent anywhere near as strong as they were a couple of years ago.

I really dont see either of those sides challenging Liverpool (who will get better) or Atletico.

Then, take a look at Group F.

You've got Lyon, who always seem to get out of their group.

Fiorentina who will be tough to beat.

Steau, who I see as a dark horse and will be tough at home.

And Bayern, who are still an unknown, struggling to adapt to Klinsmans changes and looking very shakey.

Group F = lottery

i think you may be right on Marseille, they lost Nasri and Cisse and they are a weaker team now, i just thought about that.

and on Atletico Madrid will be tough, as i have been watchin them for a few years, they have improved alot

and on Liverpool, they are not playing the best but they will only improve like you said. they always get up to the occassion in champions league football

well on Lyon and Fiorentina, i just went for a gamble there really as i think they evenly match.

I'm really worried about how Bayern will go.

Their squad isnt that deep - and they have looked really umimpressive, especially at the back in the three competitive matches they've played under Klinnsman.

First one, cup match, conceded three and were nearly knocked out by thrid division opponents. First league game, they were home to Hamburg, drew 2-2 after leading 2-0 and were very lucky to hang on. Hamburg looked like scoring every time they went forward.

GROUP A

Chelsea should stay on top. Unless Cluj can find some unbeleivable results I don't see them causing too much of an issue. Roma and Bordeaux to fight out second place.

GROUP B

Pretty easy group for Inter, they shouldn't have too much trouble. Werder have been unlucky in the past and this time have a good draw, they should find their way through to the 16.

GROUP C

Very tough group. Tougher than most imagine. Shakhtar and Sporting are without a doubt going to put Barca under the pump, and Basel have been playing brilliant football.

GROUP D

An outrageously tough group. Absolute torture for each team. PSV have really fallen behind as of recent years, shouldn't cause too much of a stir but boy the other 3 will fight to the bone. Marseille are better than you are giving them credit for...watched them on Setanta the other day. Nasri and Cisse? Who are they? Marseille have an amazing squad...first in Ligue 1 after 3 rounds and Niang, Kone, Ben Arfa, Valbuena are firing. Not to mention Cana, Cheyrou, Krstic and M'Bami who are ALL capable of big things...I think they will get through this group tbh. Atletico is also an immensley talented side! What a battle this group will be.

GROUP E

Manure will be happy with their group. They should come out on top, Villareal should see of Celtic I imagine. Celtic don't have enough on the road.

GROUP F

An outrageously tough group. Anyone can win this...it'll come down to who is better on the day.

GROUP G

Another very tough group...any of the four I can see making it, hopefully Arsenal can hold strong.

GROUP H

Juventus and Real shouldn't have too many problems. Now that Arshaving is all but set to stay that will be a huge boost, if they can play like they did in the UEFA Cup there will be some headaches...however is Arshavins head in the right place?

Really cannot wait!

anybody who tries to say liverpool or arsenal have a tough group are kidding themselves ... the only tough group is real, juve and zenit ... if arsenal and liverpool can't claim top spot they're as sh*t as everyone knows they are ...

one minute coming 3rd and 4th in the premier league makes you world beaters ... the next it means the perennial nobodies like PSV and olympic marseille are breathing down your necks ...
