24,566. Completely on par with playing the Panthers.

People up here tend to avoid watching Jamie Soward wobble around.

However, Broncos being 1st should negate the lack of Penrith draw. Sub 30k in unacceptable for the Broncos in general. If anything the Broncos should strive to have there lowest drawing games be 30k minimum as a target. Considering all the leeway and advantages the Broncos have been a one-team town there crowds should be even better.

Times when the Lions/Reds outdraw Broncos is purely embarrassing for a rugby league heartland. Cowboys/Bulldogs will be the 2nd highest attended game this round I'm certain.

I disagree. Sunday night has the biggest TV ratings and is easier for most people to attend.

alot of people wouldn't go with work or school the next day. saturday night would be best for travelling fans too. for example, i would be interested in flying to brisbane on a saturday morning, spending the night up there after the match, and flying back to sydney on the sunday.

wednesday night origin might have little competition with other tv shows, but in this case i would say it's better to have a little less viewers for a better and fairer comp. with origin on wed nights, you have players who are over worked and burnt out, lower nrl crowds around that time, some teams who get bye the weekend before the origin and some teams who don't get the bye until the weekend after.

People up here are over having to attend games on Friday nights and for the non-Broncos supporters up here, when they do go to a game its always to see the Broncos playing. Bring on Brisbane2

Taking a punt at the rest of the round
Canberra v Gold coast 8.5k
Cronulla v warriors 8k
Cowboys v Bulldogs 15k
Manly v newcastle 10.5k
Parra v Melbourne 13k
South sydney v Dragons 12k

Completely lost faith in the fans and clubs to produce any sort of decent crowd. Perfect weather in sydney this weekend which might help there. Despite the schedule having greatly improved in the last 2 years and some aweseome deals going around particularly in sydney the current and previous regime has driven fans out of the grounds over the last decade and its going to take a monumental effort to turn it around and produce something resembling growth.

Worst of all we have one more round of footy not affected by origin and then the average is truely buggered.

The average after this round is going to be approx 15,800 and its not going up from there. Worst case the season finishes around 15k for the season depending on how the post origin period goes but judging on previous seasons lately crowds die from origin 1 and do not recover

Last year wasn't quite so bad through origin IIRC. Need some good post origin games though.

Mothers Day is notoriously terrible for crowds though

Saturday arvo might get a reasonable Canberra crowd, with them having been playing good footy also. Sharks won a few recently, maybe they'll get some more. Cowboys should get a bumper crowd with their recent form

All of the above should happen, but when was the last time a good crowd that should have happened materialise?
