Yeah one of smith and cronk will sit this out which will probably keep it mildly respectable. Storm by 22.

Will not be resting Smith or Cronk. They've only just started training full time with the team again so it's time for our attack to really gel before finals

Souths supporters shouldn't be blamed if they watched this behind their lounge room chairs.

Storm by at least 40...at half-time.

Storm 13+. Suli to get back to scoring doubles. Fingers crossed that either McLean or NAS are a late inclusion

Match Preview:
Storm v Rabbitohs preview
Jack Clifton | August 4 2016 5:32PM

Melbourne look to consolidate top two effort against wounded Rabbits.

This would have been seen as a brilliant match up when the draw was scheduled late last year and not many people would have predicted the fall from grace that South Sydney have had in season 2016. The icing on the cake was last week's 54-4 humiliation at the hands of the Canberra Raiders which left even the most ardent Souths fans scratching their heads for answers. I guess the only positive news to come out of this is the fact that a majority of teams that have heavy losses generally manage to bounce back the following week. Question is, can the Rabbitohs stop this Melbourne Storm juggernaut that doesn't look like it is slowing down at all? Defense needs to improve ten fold and particularly the communication on the edges which has been very poor in recent weeks.
