As a Wests supporter this game feels like a "mini" grand final for us, because if we win this I reckon that pretty much guarentees us a spot in the semis

I'll go Tigers by 10 with a huge LO factor playing a part

Also Farah definitely needs to be playing for us to have a chance

Depends on our team but with thurston likely back and Brooks definetaly out its going to be very, very tough.

Our record against the Cowboys, particularly in Sydney and even moreso at LO, is actually very good. Id say they would consider us their bogey team so here's hoping.

And because the Tigers are playing at Lecihhardt it's predicted rain on Sunday. It's ridiculous how often it rains for these games

Even if JT doesn't play, I don't think the Tigers will be able to match the Cowboys up front. Thus there'll be no platform for the fast men. Critically important match for both sides, but I think the Cows are just the better side here.

Tigers have some 50/50 games to follow this against the Tits, Panthers, Warriors and Raiders. Warriors at NZ will be tough, against us will be tight one, Tits are proving hard to topple and Raiders will probably have too much so a key game for the Tigs this week. Reckon this one is decided by a field goal should be a great game

Even on current Cowboys form, the Tigers being at Leichhardt is still worth considering. 5 wins from 6 there for the home side is a decent stat and the Cowboys aren't used to heavy tracks like you often get at the Lilyfield Rectangle.

really dont want to slip up and put the chance of dropping out of the top 4 a real likelyhood.

Brooks is a massive blow, if JT is still out it will be much easier finding holes in the tigs defence than the best defence in the comp.

Cows by 8

i doubt either team will run out 1-17

last time brooks was out JLJ was named at 7 but played 9 with lawrence filling in the halves. wouldnt surprise if this happened again

the whole week the media will be on JT watch LOL, i reckon he'll play despite not being named

I really wish Lovett would drop off, as if MCK isn't way more versatile than him

We all know Littlejohn or Rankin will fill in at Dummy Half at some periods of the game and I'd feel much safer having Chee Kam defending in the centres than turnstile Lovett

If,and a bit IF the 1/2 Brooks plays, and the Tigers put on their best performance of the season, they could pull this off.But the Cows should comfortably pull away with this one in the final 20 minutes by 10-16 points.

Match Preview:
Wests Tigers v Cowboys preview
Robert Crosby | August 4 2016 5:37PM

Sunday Afternoon. Leichardt Oval. Does it get any better?

Posting consecutive wins over the Dragons and Eels to sit just outside the top eight on percentages, the Tigers return to Leichardt Oval for their biggest match of the season. Having forged an engrossing rivalry with the Cowboys since the 2005 Grand Final, the Tigers will be hoping to continue their surge towards September with a win over the reigning premiers on Sunday. With halfback Luke Brooks suffering a knee injury that is expected to sideline him for a month, former Manly lower grader Jack Littlejohn has been named to partner Mitchell Moses, however coach Jason Taylor to alter the starting lineup prior to kick-off. Producing a series of improved performances in the wake of Robbie Farah's controversial first grade omission, the Tigers will be out to prove their worth as top eight contenders by accounting for their more fancied rivals.
