'The great leader of our times' (sarcastically speaking) has weighed in on the issue:

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket...n-pay-talks-ian-chappell-20170523-gwayik.html

Seems like the crux of the issue is that the CA contracted players will get paid more, but at the expense of the domestic/state players.

Same players for years whinged they were;playing to much cricket. Typical.
One of my biggest pet hates: the line that constantly gets dragged out all the time about players suffering burnout, then the next minute you hear them jetting off overseas to play in some T20 tournament.

Like England, we (Australia) should be playing 7 home tests every summer, but it will never happen.

How f**ked are CA? I'm on phone so it's a pain to post the link but what on earth is the point in releasing the video they just released in the middle of a tournament?

Great idea to start crap like that midway during the tourney.

Way to get the fans offside CA.

What a load of shit. Just man up and tell the bloke he's a pest on the piss and needs to fix that if he wants to get back in the side.

Telling him his off field issues haven't affected his selection just tells him you're a moron who picked a kid averaging 40 in FC cricket over a guy who was instrumental in a pretty bloody good performance in India and averages 27 in Tests.

No issue with not picking him but be f**king honest. And if for some inconceivable reason Hohns is telling the truth then he should quit immediately.

If he wasn't dropped due to his off field antics, you have to wonder why he was dropped. He is our ideal bowler in that part of the world

Well, O'Keefe definitely hasn't been dropped due to poor form, given he took 19 wickets @ 23.26 in India.

Sadly, at 32 yrs old, I hate to say but I believe that unless Lyon/Agar/Swepson et al were all injured simultaneously, O'Keefe's test career is as good as over. With O'Keefe not being picked for Bangladesh, and after that tour the home Ashes and tour of South Africa, highly unlikely Australia will be playing 2 spinners on Australia/South African pitches, but rather 3 fast bowlers + Lyon
