Bit early and there will be outliers skewing the att figures (partic roosters) but here is how crowds are tracking v memberships. In most cases membership position is pretty accurately reflecting attendance avg position. Highlighted the ones where there is a more than a small discrepancy.

Brisbane 34587 (32,701) 1 -1

I would love to know what percentage of membership numbers are actually ticketed members. The difference between membership numbers and crowd average for Souths can be explained by the fact that Souths have members across the breadth of Australia and on all the world continents.

That is one of the biggest myths in world sports.

The arrogance to believe that you are the only club to have supporters outside of your traditional area let alone significantly more than other clubs is typical of souffs.

Everyone needs to accept that when a team is going $hithouse they will lose members (Souths) at the same time when teams are going well (Canberra) they have to make the most of it. The teams performing badly just need to try and stop the damage as much as possible. For me storm have to try and get as many as possible now because they most probably will struggle once the big 3 leave.

"We see this state and city as our home venue. We have plans to bring more games here.

"We have sold out three of our last four years here, we have a huge supporter base, our membership base is getting into the thousands here.

"Our membership base is the most diverse in the NRL. We are a side the represents the common man. We use the term 'from garbos to governors' and everybody in between."

eels will shoot to sydney numero uno easily when the stadium expansion is complete :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even when Para were spooners a few years back, they're average crowd at Para was on par, if not better, than WSW who were top of the table.

The Eels fans are a sturdy, loyal lot. Geez they deserve a winning team for a few years.

In that case if he doesn't attend ,he should be personally humped by a frilled necked lizard.

I've always found it funny that it's all OK to be Liverpool FC fans in Australia, and don the red jersey of a club a million miles away, and bleat on about You Never Walk Alone, blah blah blah, and a game in Melbourne that was a 'religious experience', and you've never ever even been to Liverpool, let along the UK, but Sydney NRL clubs can't have shitloads of members outside of Sydney.

A myth. How dare you say that
