Don't forget to put your clocks 1hr back the morning of this GF

If you were Paul Green would you pick Matt Scott? Apparently he is fit and raring to go, match fitness might be a worry wont be able to play many minutes you would imagine (talk is 10min either side of HT if picked) . Poor bugger who misses out though.

Cowboys have done really well to make the GF, but the sides they have beaten haven't performed as good as they could have.

Unfortunately Storm will win easily after a close 50-60 minutes

If I thought Scott would only be good for 20 minutes then I probably wouldn't select him either. How many players have a great first game after a knee reconstruction anyway? And the replacements are match fit and would likely provide as much as Scott, or more, without the risk. And yeah, they probably deserve to play having got them there.

Gotta pick Scott if he's fit, for his leadership and experience alone. Their bench props haven't been playing big minutes anyway. He'll offer more than the blokes they've had on the bench too.

But how much benefit is that leadership and experience if he's only on for 20 minutes? And what if you have injuries?

true, Cowboys are very finals experienced last few years, not sure Scott is gonna add much to that for 15-20min

Jensen is the one who would miss out. He is only 23 and playing in his first finals, so doesn't bring any experience. He played 25 minutes last night and only 22 against us. He played 19 against the Sharks.

So he's filled Scott's place in the 17 but veterans Taumalolo, Bolton and Fensom have taken up the slack with more minutes and they've done it easy. Plus there's Hess who is an Origin player.

More benefit than Jensen.

They're already getting bulk minutes out of their middle forwards. And if the injury isn't Scott, well it's pretty handy to be able to give him an extra ten minutes.

Some intuitive points so far in this thread, though I'm somewhat concerned you're turning your clock back an hour on gameday. By the time you start watching the game it will be over.

Why, because they'll be using the grand final to prepare for the WCC?

Been hammered about no NSW team in the GF next week.
Well no QLD team representing the QRL next week in the state championship. PNG representing the QRL.

It's harder for NSW teams to make the grand final because the money is spread amongst more teams. If there was only three teams in NSW there would be one in the grand final every year.

Would be mad not to pick Scott I reckon, he a bloody good player. Bench players Jensen / fenson are more lock type players and a prop as good as Scott is a better option.

Really can't see what the risk is, he would have passed all his medical's if he is picked.

He could actually be the difference playing the 15 -20 or so minutes when JT is off.

I reckon he's the type of tough merkin who would tear it again but soldier on for 30 mins and make 100m
