2017 Pass, Borderline Pass or Borderline fail

Making week two of the semis ordinarily that should result in a pass. Having said that many of our players didn't improve as we would have expected them to do so. I was disappointed overall in our season and did not enjoy watching our footy despite winning more than we lost.

I agree with that, most games were like watching a train wreck for 50% of the match.
The fun spontaneous attack of last year was nowhere to be seen, and our hugely talented roster has been wasted with a flat ugly attacking structure.
No improvement as a team, not our position on the ladder, makes this season a fail.

My kids get connected to players, they somehow get f**ked over then have to re-convince them to support the club and find a new favourite again.

The team this year was weak, Tamou was easily the worst buy of the season, Merrin went backwards, Cartwright went a mile backwards, we lost TMM, Hiku was shit, DWZ was average, Peachey will be 45 before they figure he isnt a centre. Mansour went well for the last 3 rounds but due to his injury thats understandable, Whare at fullback was the worst selection of the past 2 years.

Browne well for being bog average was our 2nd best forward which shows how bad Tamou was, Wallace showed his age and should retire, Cleary, Yeo, RCG and Edwards were stand outs, CHN had a good year and May was good to see come through.

Really disappointed with Kikau and Reins minutes this year, thought they could have added some spark to the team but were left to stagnate in ISP.

Cant see much changing next year with the same group and numpty coach, except we will get a harder draw and other teams will improve, will be lucky if we are in the top 12

We have just made the finals for the third time in 4 years, the ISP is in the National Championship game, the 20's made the Prelim Final, 16 & 18s made the finals, U18 girls were premiers. This means every team in a Penrith jersey made finals. Plus St Marys had finalists in the Ron Massey Cup and premiers in Sydney Shield, and Glenmore Park ladies made the prelim final.
And yet all we read is how s..t our players, coaches, officials, and supporters are!
Come on, the sky hasn't fallen in, and 2018 is a new year.

Maybe because the reason the first grade team made the finals was because of the poor quality of football from most of the comp this year.

This young squad was never going to win a premiership without learning how to win tough. Hopefully the mental toughness they've developed this year becomes the legacy of this disappointing season.
