Very disappointed.

At home, local derby, missed opportunities.

Would love to blame the refs but we simply weren't good enough.

The only redeeming quality is at least we kept it close with half our spine missing with McCrone's deplorable kicking game and poor 5th tackle options.

I guess that makes it even sweeter for the Premiers and their fans.

Frustrating night. Without our best troops but really should have finished the job for our forward pack. Immense they were.

Refs diabolical in awarding final 2 sharks tries. But not as diabolical as Mccrone. His kicking lost us that game.

The steelers surely missed Widdop and Dugan, but imagine losing to a team with ~50% completions, couldn't possibly consider the steelers a genuine threat to anything if they can't finish a game like that off (playmakers or not)

What's worrying for Illawarra is even with the low completion rate from the Sharks they made 6 line breaks to 2. The Sharks were the only ones bombing certain tries.
I think Illawarras a top 8 side but when they start getting into the mindset of them being hard done by and looking to blame everything on decisions not going their way it's a problem.
They should look at themselves first because the only time they looked like scoring was when they were in the Sharks 10m zone.
Never looked likely at scoring a long range try.

I don't see that happening this year.

They will learn from last year & secondly, there isn't that many good teams going around.

Shame Feki didn't catch that last ball would've made it 4 tries to 2 with us completing at 53% to the Dragons 93%.

6 line breaks to 2

Needed that win as the Dragons have a ridiculously easy draw this year.

Anyone interested take a look.

Very unfair.
