Well done canberra keeping it local....

This really peeves me off. The powers that be have re-organised the game in an attempt to localise pathways and we see a regional center like canberra move the final step in there elite pathway to sydney. Sure Newcastle and NZ may as well conform and do the same.

Canberra although a regional team using mounties , I guess its similar as the roosters using the wyong roos.

That's the opposite - a city team using a regional feeder. Canberra is a regional team using a city feeder.

Anyway, Canberra have a fairly strong local league set-up down there don't they? Surprising they use MRLFC as their feeder

Uep fair comment. I see your point. Maybe its to do with the costs associated with transporting ISP and flegg teams from Canberra?

They still end up playing 3-4 games in Canberra anyway, it's silly. Mounties are strong enough without the Raiders' input

Mounties taking the Flegg side is purely financial - majority of players would only go up to ISP or Massey, so why have them be based in Canberra and need to travel up?

Have the Magpies signed any players this year? There is absolutely nothing on their website apart from footage of games from last year.

That's not the full squads mate. ISP has only 15 listed. There's also the fringe NRL players who won't make the match day 17 that will filter back.

Sounds like the Magpies ISP is really still the Tigers with the them publishing the list and the Magpies showing nothing, and as stated most of the "ISP squad" will play RMC.

The ISP squad includes Cowan Epere from St Marys, Harry O'Toole and Patrice Siolo from CBGW, Joseph Ratu from Wyong and Jye Challoner from Guildford SS/Parramatta NYC.

All ISP team will field mainly NRL contracted players from their 30+6 squads

When 17 are selected for FG that still leaves 19 players for RG-ISP

Actual contracted ISP players will probably mainly play in RM Cup sides and get called up when injuries occur

Players training with Newtown include the following:

Adian Haangana (Auburn), George Tsrikrikas (Blacktown), Royce Tout (Wests NYC/SS), Ben Mathiou and Jordan Bowles (Illawarra Collegians), Lewis Meehan (Auburn/Wenty), Domonic Timoteo Guildford, Jesse Marschke and Ben Marshke (Roosters), Latrell Robinson, Ray Lesoa, Jesse Offen, Maverick Tweedie, Jackson Garlick (CBGW).

Many of these players will play with Glebe Burwood and/or Belrose in 2018.

Jesse Marschke is a decent prospect. Surprised he wasn't offered a contract by the Roosters.

Both Jesse and Ben have a fair bit of talent, they were not used properly at the Roosters and ended up too fair down the pecking order

I must've missed something - Glebe Burwood? Their FB still has them listed as Concord-Burwood-Glebe

Definitely Glebe-Burwood. Apparently Facebook only allows one name change each 12 months. In April last year Concord-Burwood Ron Massey changed to CBG. In April this year, the FB name will change to Glebe-Burwood Wolves.
