The draw for the second round comes out next Thursday, with the top team from each group advancing to the third round. The best four runners up also progress.

We've been placed in Pot A so we'll avoid Korea, Japan, Iran etc.

Looking at the pots, I reckon the best draw for us would look something like:

Anybody from Pot 3
Anybody except North Korea from Pot 4
Anybody from Pot 5

Yeah, the groups I'd have wanted to avoid were Group H (Bahrain and North Korea are no slouches) and Group A (Saudi Arabia and Palestine both Asian Cup worthy nations).

Group F probably the only one 'easier' than ours on paper.
