Dolphins look set for another strong season in both competitions. Both competitions have gone up an age group, meaning more familiar faces and hopefully a higher standard that helps bridge the gap between it and the NSWRL junior competitions.

I'll need to dig deeper into the team-lists, but Rasmussen and Garton were stand-outs last year in the Mal Meninga Cup and the Dolphins should have little trouble controlling the ruck. Symonds is a handy pick-up from the Broncos, he's a very mobile type of player who should provide the Dolphins with plenty of options around the football.

One player I'll be keeping a close eye on is Donevski. He had a very unhappy season last year with suspension and while the Dolphins were able to carry on without him, there's no denying his skill. If he can work on his discipline and develop his game, he'll find himself in the NRL sooner than later.

Kingston Seve will also be in action for Burleigh.

Seve was highly sought after and is considered one of the best outside back prospects in the country.

While there hasn't been an official word, it's rumoured that the QRL will announce a streaming platform later in the week. My tip is that the QRL will follow in the NSWRL foot-steps and launch their own platform via vimeo, which isn't too dissimilar from their Clutch TV stream.

The QRL has re-launched QPlus TV ahead of the opening rounds of the Cyril Connell and Mal Meninga Cup.

They're offering a free trial, so it's a good opportunity to get on board and watch the future Dolphins in action.
