3 day turnaround

Both sides same side? Hopefully Warner nor Lyon get a suspension

We win this test then we remain unbeaten in a test series in South Africa since apartheid (since 1991)

If Warner gets suspended we could be in a bit of strife. We'd have to open with Khawaja or SMarsh and parachute Handscomb in.

Can the RAAF spare a F/A-18 to get Matty Renshaw out there ASAP?

Surely, if the allegations are correct, de Kock is the one in strife for what he said, not Warner.

LOL - funny how someone else is always responsible for Davey's behaviour?

Jaapies will make a change or two depending on conditions anyway

Personally I'd like to see suspensions, but the ICC refuses to take a stand, especially when it's the likes of Warner, Kohli etc acting like pork-chops

Mate

It’s only ever the Aussies that are out of line. The rest of the nations are a pillar of decency and humanity.
Are you serious?

Poor Davey yet again is an innocent victim in all this - if only people stopped being mean to him

The only way they can ever resolve this is by setting up a new ranking system for niceness and goodness where games are decided by how pleasantly the teams play their cricket. NZ would be like the WI of the 80s

Quinton was probably just enquirying how his kids and Davey’s wife were going. Harmless stuff.

I wonder if De Kock dropped the SBW on him.

Been waiting for a long time for someone to sledge Warner like this, just wish it was a fast bowler during play.

Claims Warner sledged rival’s mother and sister

The ugly fallout from the sledging controversy continues with fresh reports overnight suggesting Warner sledged Quinton de Kock’s sister and mother in some verbals.

It follows former South Africa skipper Graeme Smith suggesting Warner is also to blame for the ugly confrontation that’s overshadowed Australia’s first Test victory.

Reports suggest Warner’s dressing room run-in with de Kock was sparked by disparaging remarks about his wife Candice.

While admitting the incident was “not a good look” for cricket, Smith — engaging in a Twitter debate with Aussie great Adam Gilchrist — declared Warner needed to be prepared to take sledging as good as he gave.

This is getting past ridiculous, these 2 have given the media more to write about than winning the first test.

Ilustrating that Davey needs to moderate his behaviour - he's just embarrassing himself, not just that the antics after the run-out, just weird - I guess he was shocked that he successfully completed a runout

No need for suspensions, the incident occurred in an area where the players had the right to privacy. Warner needs to pull his head in though.

I agree 100%, but just when you think he can, he shows he can't

Agree, starc's bowling, Markram's hundred and Australia's all round performance should be the talking points from the first test and what South Africa do to win the 2nd is what we should talk about now.

Do we know what sort of wicket to expect? Wonder if the Jaapies will make a couple of changes - last batter, and dependent on the surface the extra quick (who's a terrific prospect)
