    3 Hunt
    2 Widdop
    1 JDB

How good is it to have a decent halves combination that performed well and will only get better.

3 - Hunt (great debut for his new club, did what we wanted him for)
2 - Aitken (much better tonight than before)
1 - Ah Mau (whats he on this year?)

Also was this result the best result for STGI v Brisbane? I cant ever remember us flogging them like that.

    3. McInness. Great game. He stepped up gear from last season which he also played well.
    2. De Belin
    1. Widdop

Hunt came good in the end but not doing much in 1st half. Widdop I feel did more.

Leeson did well off the bench and although it was a token last 10 mins or so Mann showed why he should be in the side ahead of Lafai. Lafai was rubbish. 3 errors (cheap turnovers) when Saints had momentum. Mann looked more impressive and did more in the 10 mins than Lafai in the whole 80.

Aitken also stamped his claim to a centre jersey. He was solid and should keep the jersey.

After last nights game I would love to see Mann replace Lafai and have Lomax as the utility bench spot.

Lomax is much better off playing a full game in reserve grade, than sitting on the bench for 70 plus minutes.

Not sure where all the JDB love is coming from? He had a solid game and finished with a strong try...he was far from outstanding throughout the match.

Vaughan, Frizell, Ah Mau, Mcinnes, Aitken, Hunt and Widdop had far more bearing on the result than JDB who keeps talking himself up for rep honors all the time.

This highlights the comical nature of things like this. Anyone with internet can vote. The Dally Ms probably aren't much better in some ways. Players player is the only thing worth anything

You might want to watch the defensive side of the game instead of just the attack. JDB's defense is clinical.

Special mention to the job he did on Oates. Completely took him out of the game on kick returns. Oates is probably feeling his ribs tonight and reconsidering any future plans he may have had to play in the forwards.

    3 - L Ah Mau
    2 - J de Belin
    1 - G Widdop

Special mention to the Kogarah crowd. Kept the ref in check when it mattered.

And well done @TomRedVRiver for starting the thread. *Double thuimbs up*... Look forward to the season tally. ;)

I was at the game and saw

    Hunt 3 skillfully talentented halfback
with awesome kicking game and unpredictability about his game.
Widdop 2 was everywhere with jaw dropping bullet passes.
Ah Mau 1 huge impact player both defence and go forward. I could hear the opposition grunts when he tackled them.
