Thanks for the thread Timmah, I was deliberating making seperate threads per nation or one for the entire tournament. This works better.

Jesse Bromwich is the new NZ captain, Mannering replaced. No Manu for NZ.

I make no comment as to whether his form warranted selection, but the reality is that NZ sides without Vatuvei always lack size and punch in the backs and this one is no different. We are going to have trouble getting on the front foot early in our sets and matching the damaging ball-carriers that Australia in particular invariably field out wide.

Thought Solomona Kata was Tongan born and only recently moved to NZ? Also, not sure he is good enough. Pleased to see Jordan Rapana in the squad he has been amazing this year.

Perth test will give a huge indication of how NZ backline will gel. They are favourites to win the 4N I believe.

NZ squad contains two players who played for Tonga mid year, one a born and bred Tongan who has only been in NZ a few years. But yeah, lets loosen the rules.

Tonga not playing a test presumably had a big impact on the players decisions though as well.

BJ injured? Lol at that forward pack, Klemmer? At least you can Australia are thinking about the World Cup.

What's the point of naming Maloney and Morgan?

Terribly unbalanced squad for Australia. Will be interesting if a couple of forwards go down injured in the first game. Far too many Hooker/Halves/Fullbacks in there.

Haha. Good stuff. A no dickhead policy for the Roos is absolutely appropriate. And not picking mercenaries is brilliant too.
