Suprised Baggio didn't make the list. One of the greatest ever for Italy and Serie A. I'd sub him for Vieri...

Also Ruud and Batistuta next to each other, now there is a who is better thread!

I'd makle a list, but it would be a joke due to my Premier League bias (I rarely watch any other league). I'll just state that Zidane would be number 1, Messi number 2, and then the arguments can begin with the two Ronaldos and Ronaldinho. I'm old enough to have seen Maradona, but didn't really watch soccer back then. I do enjoy his coaching style however...

Ruud was a top quality striker, but to compare him to Batigol is...just insulting.

Batistuta was one of the best strikers I've ever seen and he had far more strings to his bow than van Nistelrooy who was really just a finisher, albeit a great one.

In my era I'd have Batistuta second just behind fat Ronaldo in terms of strikers; at his peak Fatnaldo was the best striker I've ever seen.

38. Claude Makelele
42. Demetrio Albertini
first of all, good effort, it's not an easy thing to do, and it can be very hard to remember absolutely everyone.

That said, the ones above are some that I would have to single out and say i disagree with. (totti is a hard one for me to judge though, maybe i'm just blinded by the fact that i loathe him).

A guy that came straight to mind for me tho before even looking at the list was Crespo, he'd def be in my top 50.

Totti was the best player in a world cup winning side, the driving force behind a smaller club (Roma, compared to the big 3 anyway) that has challenged for and won scudettos.

I can understand people thinking Makelele shouldnt be in the list but I thought he was massively underrated. such a class player.

You didn't think Albertini was good?

I actually forgot Crespo at first but then when i remembered him, I couldn't find a place for him. He was great at times but very inconsistent for massive stretches of his career.

I thought about it but he wasnt good enough imo, although a great player.

now you mention it tho, i totally forgot about Guardiola who would have made it :p

Totti has been the biggest piece of sh*t since Frank Rijkaard but PA I'm actually surprised Luis Enrique didn't make your list.

Luis Enrique was quality.

Even though you might not like Totti to deny him a place on a list of the best players you've seen would be pretty stupid.

He should be in the top 10 easily.
