If we change the game it should be for the benefit of the specticle of the game, not for the benefit of TV. If you want to watch a game designed for TV tune into AFL or NFL!

the only thing about the AFL that is TV orientated is the fact they stop the centre bounce for an ad break and the umpire is allowed to bounce the ball only after a green light is given. Other than that, AFL is a rubbish Tv sport (and in general)due to the fact the field is extremely big and you miss a lot of the off ball action which is generally more interesting than what the guy with the ball is doing., you couldn't be any further from the mark with that AFL comment.

The NFL one I agree with.

If we really want to lengthen the game, hoping that it will increase the value, just have 50 minute halves. Sure its tough, but it is the option that would have the least impact. Personally I dont think we need to change a thing, but if we become a 3 hour show, instead of a 2 hour show, and that means we are on exact equal terms with our biggest competitor which would give broadcasters absolutly no reason not to give us the greater deal.

some people might come on here banging on about 50 minute halves and junk like that.

won't work. just a heads up. you'd have to be pretty stupid to think 50 minute halves are going to do anything except make already over-extended players even worse off.

watch out for their 'personal' disclaimer in case someone (easily) sees through their ridiculous idea. Thats the important fluff piece hiding inadequate brain power and small appendages.
