Affiliated States Championships - Awareness

Just thought I'd let people know that their is interstate clashes outside the Origin arena ....

The Annual Affiliated States Championship is played between, NT, SA, Victoria and WA in June of each year. WA has dominated the comp over the last decade.

A rep team is usually selected for matches against Pacific based resident teams.

Personally I think the time has come for the comp to be expanded to an 8 team 2 pool 'Regional Australia Championship' with 2 country regions each from Qld and NSW being invited. Say Outback NSW / Outback QLD plus a region in the respective states that may not see any NRL action ( like Central Qld or perhaps the NSW North Coast / Coffs Harbour region ?)
