Perhaps its a coach who's never coached a grand final winning side.
In my book a coach who has never even taken a side to a grand final has little merit in coaching circles
What difference does it make? The statement still stands. Who cares if it was Craig Bellamy or Paul Green or Dean Pay or Stephen Kearney or who ever? It doesn’t make it any less true if it was said by Paul McGregor instead of Wayne Bennett

Off course it makes a difference.
Who's statement on a player would carry more value Craig Bellamy's or Paul McGregors?

He had a brilliant world cup and was one of the best forwards on show. He is a late bloomer and maybe this put clubs off but I am surprised someone didn't pick him up on a 2-3 year contract. Maybe St's got him on the marquee signing clause and threw a lot more money and 4 years to sweeten the deal. He would have been a plus to any of the NRL club packs. Naïve to think otherwise.

who cares, all nrl coaches > SL

You are saying that all NRL coaches are better than SL coach Tim Sheens (Hull KR), winner of four (4) Australian grand finals with two (2) clubs, and long time coach of Australia. If you believe that then you are a complete goose.

Times move on... Sheens and brian Smith, unemployable in nrl no one wants them
