I don't know if this is the correct place to put the discussion thread for this game or not so move it if need be.

Here are the teams for the match.

KFC Australia XI: Matthew Hayden, Shaun Marsh, Michael Clarke (capt), Michael Hussey, David Hussey, Andrew Symonds, Shane Watson, Cameron White, Brad Haddin (wk), Brett Geeves, Peter Siddle, Shaun Tait.

ACA All-Stars XI: Adam Gilchrist (capt, wk), Justin Langer, Brad Hodge, Simon Katich, Rob Quiney, Michael Dighton, Dan Marsh, Ashley Noffke, Ryan Harris, Steve Magoffin, Brendan Drew, Dan Cullen.

Go the All-Stars ... wait ...
No go Australia ... wait ...
Go the tie

I don't know who to cheer for so I will remain neutral and hope for a close, absorbing performances.

I will though hope these players have big games:

Shaun Marsh
Shaun Tait
Adam Gilchrist

The All stars could be better, Hilfy for one. I also thought there would be more oldies playing like AB and co. Warne probably would want too much money to play in it.

Hodge, Quiney, Dighton all open for their states in the short form then there is the Aussie test opener Katich

Hodge has batted 3-7 for Australia, he is not just a opener, Digton bats anywhere from 1-4, and does not open for Tassie (or wherever he is now) all the time, Katich does not open in ODI's for NSW. Quiney will be lucky to make the 11, and again is not a specialist opener

How does a hit-and-giggle game between the current team and a bunch of retirees get televised nationally live with massive advertising while the same network has just f**ked over the world cup?

Will probably get a massive crowd too...

Hodge opens in T20 for Victoria all the time, Quiney should be the first picked on form and usually opens whilst Dighton is currently Tassies one day opener

Then again if form meant anything then Symonds wouldnt be there, but of course he is there for the local morons to try and get them to pay to watch the rain tumble down as it does 365 days a year up there

Anyway assuming only 11 play, then it will be a bowler who misses for the All Stars
