Maybe if Lyall had have doubled is wage, instead of halving it, hed still be with us. There'd be guys like the brailey earning nearly much as him this year. MAssive phar Cup

That's a different way of looking at it.

But a fair way.

Barba was our best player.

If you can't agree, can you agree he was the most influential on us winning games last year?

If you believe Brailey is on 300k+ you also believe in the tooth fairy. Gotta remember that Benny farrked up and realistically didn't deserve near 700k for 12 games.

Befoe you go off , lets wait until Braileys season goes & if he plays first grade, & then how much they upgrade his expiring contract by ey?
Benny farked up alright, like a few others who didnt get caught or got caught first time. Whether you pay him what he is worth, whether he plays full season or not depneds on what value you put on the best full back in the competition. IMO, being cheap skates is a massive f**k up.

for sure, those last few winning games where they scraped in was all from Barba brilliance.
They have just dumped a million on Holmes who will have to step up because he showed NO influence on any games last year

We probably don't get to and win the GF without barba, but you could probably say the same about feefs or Ennis...

There was one dude who came here in 2016 who was hands down our MVP and that's Jimjim. Without him, we were no chance. He lifted and carried us through those last 3 games and not just on the field. I've never seen a bloke better able to consistently handle pressure, ever.

Barba will be missed, but he was a ticking time bomb. Give him a million for half a season and guess what he does with the mill. Thanks for the memories benny.

What got what we needed out of him before he exploded off field.
Thanks Ben. You won't be forgotten.

Time to move on though.
Fair call that. Time to find a couple of quality outside backs. Curtis Scott would be handy now.

Take any of these players out of the 17 and we dont get to the GF - let alone win it.
Jim M
Ben B
Feefs

But the journey to the premiership began in 2015 when Ennis stepped into the 9.
We started to take shape and our whole game changed from the wrestle to beating teams with the football.
Under Ennis's direction blokes like Prior and Lewie and Wade went to another level...while Gal stepped back - to provide quality rather quantity.

Matty Prior. Won the game against the Mucus. Stepped up from about round 20 onwards. Unsung hero of our premiership campaign.

& that's why it was bullshit he never went on the kangaroo tour.

Every other year 6 or 7 get selected from the premiership winning team, including a couple of bolters like Prior who performed extremely well on the finals.

I agree Benny was good for us when it counted, he had 2 strikes now against his name, so would always have NRL waiting for the 3rd strike.

I think to with Benny, we got the best year out of him, but he didnt put many of them together, 2012 was other best year, and he did have some average ones in between.

Thanks for the memories, espically the GF try

Played his first game of rugby overnight apparently, came on late in the game, as a winger.
Bet he had a great time.

All those French kids adoring him and yelling out to him from the sidelines.

Getting the footy in his hands and weaving his magic up the field...

What..... Ohhh he is playing rugby?

Scratch that.

Yeah but Arnold I reckon he might of gone off the field at full time and just sat down and counted a lot of money somewhere.

And all without the Bullshit microscopic analysis of his every waking moment of his life away from a footy pitch.

Quigs that's exactly what he will tell himself.

With his family here, his inability to speak French, and the fact he isn't enjoying the game it will all catch up to him.

If it doesn't - he is a liar.
