your post has a lot of merit but your statement that the bulldogs were put out through no fault of their own is incorrect. It was well known by the board months in advance of being sprung that they were over the salary cap and were looking at trying to reduce it the next year..before getting caught no doubt. While I agree its not the players fault the board is still the club and they had to pay for their sins...
Besides that - it was a post full of merit.
PS. We will never know who the better side was - but i think we would have done them like we had to do all the top eight clubs leading into the semis and in the semis..
