Today we seen Ramien given a taste of FG and he looked good, Flanno played him in his specialist position centre and he did his job, hindsight always good but Capewell was tried in the role even though backrower, i think we got more from Ramien today and going forward to show he could be a FG centre.

Which brings me to Dillon who under reports going great in NSW cup we had chance after chance all season to see how he would go in bench spot, we have had Highno,Lats, Taga they all play limited minutes we know there ceiling but Dillon we dont i would have though considering our team we have blooding Dillon throughout season is more beneficial.

As nothing worse then calling up player when there is injury crisis throwing him in deep end and expecting him to perform

I see your Ado-Carr and Scott and raise you are Frizzell and Peachey!

JAC said after the game last night that he and CS know each others game well from time at Sharks.

You can bet Bellyache was onto this at recruitmemt/planning time.

Flanno said his strategy is to give guys a run when there is a long term spot there vs giving a game here and there when there is an injury then dropping them back to nsw/20's. I hate his strategy. I wish we had Scott or JAC in the backline instead of a Beale, Leutele(who has been great though) or Feki. Buying Aaron Gray and Josh Dugan when we have some of the most exciting backs in the 20's is the most flanno thing ever.

Don't forget in 2015 he started Mitch Brown over Valentine Holmes. It took a losing streak of a few games to give Bird a bench spot. We have blooded 2 players this year, 1 the year before. Look at how the Storm does it. Look at how they have guys ready to go, Croft has been given a taste and will be good to go next year.

Raimen stood up today. Capewell looked good in the backrow and Boogie was able to stay in his middle bench role. We replaced an injured centre with a centre. We used another player vs this theory of using the least amount of players possible. Raimen could of done that same job in a number of games this season vs putting Capewell there out of position for the sake of keeping the playing unit "tight".

We are going to be extremely old next year. Those guys won't be there in 2019. Hopefully we don't watch our talented youngsters go in 2018 leaving us bare in 2019. It does my head in.

I dont think he counts, he came through the Gold Coast system didnt he?

He still brought people through the Shark's gates and was a drawcard. In this day and age getting people through the gates and someone who brings crowds to their feet ,is important.

Or having a team with little experience on the field in 2019

Ramien looks ready for NRL and must be locked in. Watching the Holden Cup against Newcastle and there is plenty of talent there for the future . KF and Jurd looked quick and smart.

My memory of Preston's rise to first grade was that we were treading water in mid 2001, Langy publicly said he'd run out of ideas and put Preston in as half back, the rest is history. Before that he'd been claeed up when others were injured or called up to rep games.

At last, a centre who can find his way straight to the try line.
You know this team will fall off a cliff sooner or later. If the new blood doesn't start coming through next year they will become a South Sydney or worse, a Newcastle.

Rammstein only knows one direction, that is straight through. he will have to add some more tricks as he gets worked out. Very encouraging debut. Physically more than ready.
