Bushrangers squad: Aaron Finch (capt.), Ryan Carters, Mark Cleary, Michael Hill, Jon Holland, Glenn Maxwell, Rob Quiney, Chris Rogers, Peter Siddle, Tom Stray, Matthew Wade, Damien Wright
New South Wales squad: Stuart Clark (capt.), Beau Casson, Trent Copeland, Scott Coyte, Pat Cummins, Peter Forrest, Moises Henriques, Phillip Hughes, Phil Jaques, Peter Nevill, Ben Rohrer, David Warner

Both sides pretty well down on troops due to injuries and World Cup selections. Hopefully Hughes and Jaques can regain some form or we'll be in the poo. NSW's bowling attack should be strong enough but having Cameron, Haurie and SOK all out has thinned it down. Casson and Cummins will need to come straight in and bowl well and Henriques could really help out by having one of his rare good days. Our middle order looks weak though, hopefully they can show some starch. Having Nevil back at least gives us some batting lower down.

Having Rogers back reinforces the Vics top order, but missing White, Hussey, McDonald and Pattinson hurts them.

Looks like plenty of rain about on the weekend so if the ball starts moving it could be over quick. Bit hard to pick a winner in what really is shaping up as a bit of a cripple fight.

How many do the Blues have out?? Seems like a cast of thousands. Pretty weak side for the Victorians as well.

If we were all fit and had the World Cup players available the team would look much more like:

Watson,
Katich,
Khawaja
Clarke
Maddinson
Smith
Haddin
Hauritz or O'Keefe
Bollinger
Take your pick out of Clark, Copeland, Cameron, Starc, Hazlewood, and perhaps Cummins for the last two quicks.

Blues batting first.

Could be decisive with lots of rain forcast for tomorrow and Sunday. We need to bat out the day and let the Vics deal with overcast conditions and a heavy outfield later.

He's played 2 or 3 games previously, but this is his first time opening. Has a best of 48 coming into this game.

He doesn't seem to have as much problem with the spin today as in the 20-20s. Sent Holland back over his head for maximums twice last over.

Hughes plays on one from Siddle. Bit of a nothing ball that he tried to guide through the slips. Played the same shot with good success earlier, but this one didn't seem to get up.

And yes this is Warner's 5th FC match.

Once again its Hughes technique that gets him out, Siddle certainly couldn't do it on his own

Warner brings up his maiden FC 50. He's looked very solid actually. Quite a good innings so far. Hit the bad ones and blocked the good ones. Could be more than a slogger.

are you watching this yappy ?

Warner is not expected to get a run a ball here so he can pick his shots and show us what he can do in the longer versions of the game, big opportunity for him
