Wayne Bennett Jack Gibson , Bellamy etc are like Federer , Djokovic , Nadal of coaching . It's always a risk with new guys, if we don't get Wayne I would chase Meninga and Walters as a team. We need big names with aura about them.

It is looking like Seibold has already agreed to coach Brisbane from 2020. Maybe Brisbane will give JD a year as caretaker?

I am more hoping that Bennett brings him with him (too us) as part of his coaching staff and succeeds him, when he retires.

I always enjoy hearing what opposition players have to say about their assistant coaches..

He should have taken Mary’s job when he won the NSW cup and the Interstate cup, the year he replaced Mary for a round or two while Mary was out with his sick mother and had us performing out of our skins.

Perhaps. But his CV was already better than McGregor's. He'd have been a better choice on paper

I’d like Bennett to bring JD back as an assistant co-coach kinda thing with a view t taking over after the two years we give Bennett.
