Maybe we in here are all to blame.

We are always quick to assume the worst in players.

We all want players punished, and punsihed quickly.

When the nrl doesn't act on allegations we are quick to accuse the nrl of being weak on domestic violence. But when guys like skd and radrara are cleared after already being punished we criticise the nrl for throwing players under the bus.

But when the nrl waits until after the court case has finished like with Auva'a, then again the nrl is criticised.

When stewart was stood down many congratulated the nrl for being proactive. When stewart was cleared many condemned the nrl for jumping the gun.

All of this is a mess. If in the future the nrl waits until after a court case before any punishment and that player is found guilty we'll all start the complaining about how it was handled all over again.

Also it's pretty shitty that guys like skd and radrara are portrayed in the media as absolutely woman bashers without it ever being proven in court, yet even the guy who ran over 6 people in melbourne earlier this year is still an 'alleged murderer' in the media despite their literally being thousands of witnesses and his crimes were televised.

They're dammed if they do dammed if they don't. Sunderland spent the best part of a season playing a nonce in the EPL because the FA wait until after the legal system runs its course.

Life is shitty, even now I'm doubtful Semi is totally innocent. Once your publicly accused of being something like a woman beater/rapist/nonce theres always going to be that doubt.

Problem with the Auva'a one was that he had plead guilty.

Once he did that the NRL was free to punish him without having to wait on the courts (which the delay on that being sentencing, not the actual court case).

All the others should have be given the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Until a guilty verdict has been handed by the courts the NRL should stay out of it.
