*rubs eyes* What? Ronny didnt include Ratt!! Rage Against the Machine is a tight Yank band too. Cant forget the Jimi Hendrix Experience & The Doors too. I'm gonna put my vote behind the Brits though. Lep, Led Zep, Queen, Beatles, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, The Clash, The Who, Pink Floyd. Clapton & Cream, Sting & The Police, Phill Collins & Genesis...u cant beat that.

Ratt where a great band but they didn't sell enough albums to be in such a list......like Poison/Skidrow etc.

I can't believe i forgot all about Jimi, The Doors, Police, The who, Genesis & Dire Straits.

Im leaning towards the brits now

Also throw in U2...as their British & Cranberries.

British have better old school stuff

Americans have better newer stuff from 90's maybe 80's onward

Bee Gees first hits where actually in Oz!!....however to become big internationally they had to go to England which they did & done well!!

I had the pleasure of seeing the Bee Gee's in was it 99 or 2000 at stadium Australia....they where fantastic!!

I still have the ticket for ebay lol!!

UK has spawned some of the greats of all time........

The US has produced most of the modern greats..Gunners etc

I guess we shall know in about 10-15 years time and if we remember the US guys, like we do Queen, Floyd etc.......then they're on par...
