Can the Sydney Roosters win the Grand Final again this year?

Roosters tore the Wests Tigers to ribbons despite making loads of errors in possession. If they can clean up their act then the Roosters will sail into the Grand Final against Melbourne.

Then what happens?
A earth shattering loss to the Storm who will be primed to sent Cronk out a winner. Maybe the Roosters miss the Grand final altogether and get knocked out week 2 of the finals.
Or perhaps Pearce will do his acl in origin 2 and the Chooks will lose 6 straight and miss the finals.

Every team in the top 4 has the same chance winning the cup, it's only decided on the day, which way the refs swing, which way the ball bounces, which players are missing or go missing . . . it's a trick question

I would think that if the Roosters can field a fit Mitchell Pearce, Latrell Mitchell, Joseph Manu, Luke Keary, Michael Gordon,Jake Friend, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Dylan Napa, Boyd Cordner, Mitchell Aubusson, Isaac Liu, Blake Ferguson, Daniel Tupou, and S. S. Taukeiaho, for the rest of the season, they will be in the Grand Final.

They very well could be. Even better chance if they are top 4. It's far from certain. They'll have to go through some equally good teams to get there.

The Roosters beat Wests Tigers 40-18. Cronulla Sharks beat Wests Tigers 24-22. This suggests that the Sydney Roosters are the only worthy challengers for chart topping Melbourne Storm.

That's not a like for like comparison as the Sharks were missing all of their origin players. I'd rather just see the Sharks and Roosters play each other at full strength.

THIS. Storm are the best team in the comp at the moment but if you don't get it right on the day it doesn't mean shit.

The big 3 plus Chambers are reportedly out of the Storm team for Saturday night. This will help the Roosters (who will be without Cordner) to smash the Storm and move further ahead of the Sharks, who are due to be thumped by Manly this weekend.

And what if Melbourne beat them without Cronk, Smith, Slater and Chambers?

Melbourne's best could've played, it's just the same ol' same ol' mind games the 'yardstick' teams play when the opportunity arises.

The result is not going to phase supporters of either team . . . pity the people of Adelaide are the real losers
