Cronulla are defending premiers they are allowed a little latitude. They don't have to prove they are the real deal.

Pearce will come back from Origin a better more confident, more mature player

Thing is, I cannot dispute that pearceoff is a tremendous first grade halfback.

But after origin series after origin series after origin series after origin series after origin series after origin series, surely that is where he should remain.

Yep, he is a good first grade half back - that's his ceiling, unfortunately NSW selectors seem intent on him playing more games than Fittler

You guys are like a broken record with all the Pearce is good at NRL bad at Origin crapola. What that really is about is origin being refereed differently to NRL. Low penalty counts which QLD exploit to the nth degree with captain cynical running the show make it extremely difficult for any halfback. Not sure if you're all aware for example just how difficult it is to get a decent kick away when you continually have way offside markers charging at you because the refs don't have the balls to penalise particularly at Suncorp where qld do whatever they want.

Ain't no halfback in the world could do any better under those conditions

missing friend for a few weeks is going to hurt. Tends to be a few more holes to poke at in the middle when someone who frequently hits 60 tackles a game isn't there cleaning up

Is that why every other half in origin has struggled as well? They all have the same conditions yet can perform better.

Alright. So. List of reasons why Mythchell isn't really shit at SOO:
    -It was Gal's fault.
    -It was Robbie fault.
    -Thurston is mean.
-Refs put the whistle away in SOO.
-Myth was too young when first picked.
-Myth didn't get to play with his club 5/8th.
-Myth didn't get to run the team.

Seven reasons-one for every series he has lost.

You forgot that the forwards were not up to scratch in this last game. That also explains 21 games of shit.

Roosters now sit in clear 2nd place. Next week they play the Sharks without ace full back and goal kicker Michael Gordon, and without hooker and co-captain Jake Friend. Thus it is going to be hard to retain a top 4 spot with those crippling injuries.

The Roosters beat Newcastle 28-4 while without Jake Friend, Michael Gordon and Joseph Manu. And they did it in second gear. The only Newcastle points came from a try by SKD.
