Interesting times ahead with Toulouse, Toronto and potentially Montreal. I would say there has never been this much interest from neutrals in the lower leagues.

The guys behind the Perth bid were seriously looking at applying to put the pirates in superleague after the nrl's inaction on expansion. It was a very similiar model to what Toronto came up with. Bradfords new owners seem serious in getting them back as well so yes championship in next coup,e f years could feature a couple of strong engish clubs and a couple of strong overseas clubs.

They'd have to make their way up from League 1...

Well said. Probably why the talk of Florida also. Hopefully it is a turning point for the game and it opens the NRL's eyes a bit to the value of expansion, especially to international markets

NRL is a bit less blessed with big cities that a wolfpack like start up could come from near to them, Asia, South Africa, Hawaii maybe, but very long shot, but so was a Toronto team in League 1 not so long ago. They should be definitely looking at Bris 2, Perth, NZ 2 etc sooner and stop pandering to self interest.

Oh the possibilities.....

West coast pirates brought to you by qantas. what would be the scheduling mechanics of such an enterprise? 3 week tour followed by 3 week home block?

Having been a victim of relegation what's your thoughts in general on the system? would you prefer a straight up down P&R setup?

Good to see the fans rallied around the club.

The MPG (and Middle 8s) is entertaining from a neutral perspective but it is a pretty big hurdle to jump for promotion. Much tougher prospect than simply finishing first. That said, it depends what the goal of the system is.

It is likely to result in an overall more stable Super League line up, which has positives considering the big difference in quality between SL and Championship. Perhaps less likely to see another Bradford situation happen to a big club.

But if the goal is to promote regular movement between divisions then obviously straight up-down would serve better.

Never mind ;)
wasn't lost on me ha ha, and to say it all comes down to one game is a cop out, Hull KR won 6 of 23 games (drew 2), and then blew an 8 point lead with less than 2 minutes remaining. Having said that they are more supported than the likes of Salford, Wakefield and even Huddersfield.

We went through the year with our two most expensive players sat on the sidelines, china cup campese broken and smackhead kelly disbhonourably discharged. With no halfbacks and a big chunk of salary cap tied up in them two it was never going to end well. Throw in a dumb coaching decision by the board and other injuries and it was just one of those years you'd rather forget,

Onwards and upwards, bulls in A few minutes, the fightback Begins today!

Almost 9,000 at Caravan Park yesterday. Credit where it's due that's a fantastic crowd for that division.
